Six Months Gone!!!

A new day is here again. Sometimes, I always find myself wondering if the days are just unbelievably fast during this period. The speed with which we burn through the days of the week has to be studied. One day, we’re on Monday, and looking forward to the entire week, by the time you blink, it’s already Sunday evening, and you’re looking forward to yet another week.

Just like that, the days seem to be zipping past us at an insane speed, and we just can’t get a break. That’s how it has seemed, and just like that, we’re at the end of the sixth month of the year. By the time today is over, this year will have been split cleanly in half. And of course, we’re looking forward to what the rest of the year holds for us.

But then, is this a good thing? Or is it a bad one? Having the days go by so fast could make you think that six months in the year have gone by and you’ve not even scratched the surface of the things you had hoped to achieve by the end of the year. If you’ve not made any headway yet, it could be tempting to think that it’s too late to start, or even worse, it would be crazy to think it would be better to wait until the new year to try again.

It’s all good though, because however you look at it, it wasn’t all that bad. You’re alive and you’re well. Yeah, time is going. Yeah, there are so many things that could have happened, so many things that you could have achieved. But then, let’s be honest. The world hasn’t really been favorable, and the economy has not been too kind. Least of all in a country like mine, where the system seems to be working against the progress of the very people it should serve.

And for this, I tell you that however badly the last six months have gone, it doesn’t mean that it’s over for you. As long as there is breath in your lungs, you still have a chance to make it work. There’s no ticking clock, there’s no deadline limiting your progress to June 2025. It won’t be too late if you start chasing your goal in July 2025. Don’t look down on the fact that these past months, you’ve not done anything toward chasing what you want.

Instead, use it as a motivating factor. Start now to chase what you want, give it your all. Because luck may shine on you, and you may still hit your target. As they say, it’s never too late to start something new. People who tell you that are only projecting their insecurities onto you. As long as it’s something you want and something you believe that you have a shot at, then you’ll definitely get it.

Keep going for what you want, and with time, every single thing will fall into place. But you have to start, because that’s the only way success will come, not by postponing it.
