Nothing Is Impossible!!!
When it comes to reincarnation, it’s something that many of us are very familiar with. While we may not have experience with it, we’ve heard enough about it to be able to give us a general idea of what it’s all about. It’s a pretty major topic in most religions and cultures. While most religions debunk it, many cultures embrace it and see it as a possibility.
Does that make it real? Or is all this just one more thing that science may never be able to fully explain? In truth… no one can really know. Because in the long run, what would matter the most is what you believe. If you genuinely believe that you or someone close to you was reincarnated, there’s nothing that’s said to you that will change your mind. The same way you’d feel if you absolutely believe it to be false.
For me, I see the idea of reincarnation as a coping mechanism for grief. Death is a painful thing, one that no matter how much we know about it, will never be less painful. We all know that besides change and time, one other constant in life is death. Nobody can avoid it, yet when it strikes, we’re always hurt and pained.
If you see someone who’s 90+, you know that they’re basically on death’s door; every day that they live is a miracle. Every birthday they celebrate is a blessing. You know that they’d pass pretty soon. Still, when they eventually die as expected, it still hurts. Even someone having cancer or some other form of terminal illness, one that they know will definitely take their life. Knowing they’d die will not make the pain of losing them any easier to bear.
There is no situation on earth where the death of a loved one will ever be easy to endure. And so, humans have evolved with so many ways to cope. There have been fables, myths, and folklores, all of them dealing with life after death. We all tell ourselves that they’re in a better place because it would be easier to move on than to think the opposite. When in reality, no one knows at all what’s on the other side of the veil.
We hold major burials, have acclaimed funerals, host remembrance ceremonies… but all that is only for the living. It’s only designed to help the living cope with their grief. Because the dead don’t care.
And now, when it comes to reincarnation, it’s pretty much the same thing. It could be something that people just tell themselves to feel better about losing a loved one. When someone loses their mother, the idea that said mother has returned to life in the body of the newly born daughter will help ease the pain. And many times, when the child has a striking resemblance to the supposed dead person, it can also affect the way people treat them.
I’ve seen parents pick favorites among their kids simply because one of them looked so much like their grandfather, and they believe it’s the reincarnation. Hell, I have an aunt who dotes and pampers one of my second cousins, way more than she does to others, simply because that particular cousin looks like our grandma.
So, is reincarnation possible? Honestly, I have no idea. There are enough compelling debates on both sides, showing why it could be possible or not. In the end, it all boils down to what you believe. Everyone can believe whatever they want. However, while believers don’t have to prove that reincarnation is real, non-believers might have to prove that it isn’t. And so far, I don’t think that’s even possible at the moment.
But then… this is 2025! Nothing is impossible!
It's still a controversial topic, and some people said that they were reincarnated, but their logic and proof were not convincing enough to prove that they were telling the truth.
Yeah... so let's just keep things as they are. Those who believe can keep doing so while those who don't can also keep not believing.
