Holiday is Bae...

Holidays are always bae because they’re that part of the season where I don’t get to work as much as I do on a regular basis. And since last year, I made a conscious decision to take my holidays seriously and actually enjoy it, instead of simply doing nothing but chilling at home and bingewatching series. This was something I did a lot of back in the day when I was in school and had so many bills to pay.

However, things are a bit different. I’m no longer in school but I still have many bills to pay. But that’s not going to stop me from having a good time once in a while. It’s always good to rewind and relax, letting go of all the stress and knots that have been accumulating in your body due to constant work. Holidays will always be bae, in my opinion.

My last holiday was this Easter where I went to spend the few days of Easter with a friend. After the Holy Saturday vigil mass, and during Easter Sunday doings, I decided to go visit an old friend and would spend the rest of the Easter holiday there. It was quite the experience, taking me to somewhere I hadn’t been before and getting to see so many new places.

But that was short-lived because the holiday was really short and I had to come back to base, after all, money had to be made. And now, thanks to today’s topic, I’m thinking about the next holiday I would be taking and I just realized… I don’t even know.

So far, the closest holiday I can think of is the Muslim holiday that comes up later in the year, in the ember months. But just like Easter, that’s also short. I only get a few days at most. So, my next chance at a long holiday just might be at the end of the year. Yeah, during Christmas and New Year. That should give me anywhere between 2-4 weeks to actually relax and have a great time.

Other than that, I don’t see any other significant holiday coming up for me. I could have chosen to just take and holiday at any time of the year, seeing how I’m a freelancer and I have control over my time. However, with the way things are at the moment, there is a limit to just how much holidays I can handle.

So, what will I do on my next holiday? Well, it’ll be the same as it’s always been. Spending it with family. I know that for now, it’s to early for me to be planning how my December parole will be, but if I’m going with history, then I will most likely spend it with family or friends. If I do end up going out, it won’t be on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year’s Day. Those days are always packed with people in all the hotspots and I usually prefer to avoid those crowds.

But then, nothing is set in stone. Plans may change. I’m quite flexible when it comes to such things and I can change it all up on a dime if I believe the new option will work best for me. A good opportunity might come around and I’d end up using the whole of the festive season to work. Or I’d end up going out on the very days I said I won’t. No one knows tomorrow.

But all in all, this is what I have planned for my next holiday. And as usual, I’m sure it would be a quiet and enjoyable event. And it’ll definitely be fun.
