Honestly guys, I don’t know if I’ll be sleeping in my own home for the next couple of days, or if I’d be doing it somewhere else. Maybe I’ll look for a cheap hotel or motel to crash until this matter is cleared up. Maybe I’ll just go and squat at one of my siblings' homes, or even just go to my church and sleep there for the next couple of days.

When I think of it, it does make more and more sense, because if what I’m suspecting comes to pass, I’ll have to run very far. The last thing I want is to become a familiar face, and thus become the subject of a grudge that could transcend generations. Nah… I don’t think I’m built for that.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

But it’s all good. I’m sure by now you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about. Well… I guess I’m just shaky right now because I’m still trying to plan out my next moves. The thing is, since this week began, one of my neighbors (we live in the same compound) has been getting an unwanted visitor. And this visitor was none other than a raven.

On Monday, it was just one bird. It perched on the cable that ran out of his home, and turned to face the building. Almost as if it was staring right into his bedroom. At first, it wasn’t that big of a deal, hell we even thought it was just another bird. But that didn’t end there, because on Tuesday morning, the bird was still there. This time, it wasn’t on the cable, but on the roof of the shop opposite the house, staring again. It’s clearly the same bird… but right now, it doesn’t really matter because there are about five ravens camped right in front of my neighbor’s flat. All of them are staring at his home as if they forgot their bag of money there.

And now, we know that there’s a problem. If you know anything about ravens, you know that they’re very smart creatures, and they can keep grudges. If you mess with them, they’ll always come for payback. No matter what. If you kill one of them and the others figure it out, they’ll come for you. And it’s been said that they hold grudges across generations. That is, you could still pay for something that you did to a raven that died years ago.

So, knowing all these, I know for sure that those birds aren’t outside my neighbor’s home because they like the air freshener he’s using, I know that something has happened. And now, I don’t know what’s next. When I was in ND, I knew of a lodge where the ravens became so much that all the students moved out. I never even found out what those guys did to piss off the birds. But I know that if care is not taken, we’ll find ourselves in a similar situation.

I’m suspecting my neighbor, though; he has a dog that’s nothing but a rascal on four legs. The dog hunts down anything that’s remotely smaller than it. Rats, cats, chickens… I once saw the dog grab a chicken right from underneath the compound gate. That’s how gangster the dog is. And now, I’m certain that the dog must have done something. Maybe he attacked a bird, or even killed it, and my neighbor helped to cover it all up. And now, the entire compound is getting visitors.

Today is Friday, and we have about six ravens already. How many will it be by Sunday? What about next week? So, you see what I’m saying? Can I still stay here? The last thing I want to do is be here when the ravens decide to launch their attack, and if the humans around me also decide to launch an attack on them, I don’t want to be here either. I don’t want my face to be remembered at all, whether for good or for bad.

I have a feeling this is going to get worse pretty soon, but I just don’t know when that will happen. But it’s alright. I’m still ready to move at a moment’s notice. There’s no time. I’m not ready to get into the black book of a couple of birds from hell.

We’ll be fine, lol!

That’s so creepy and cool at the same time! Did you manage to figure out what attracted the ravens in the first place?

The guy who lives there is not really forthcoming with info, although I believe it has to do with the dog. I think the dog must have done something, because the dog majorly stays close to the front door of the house, which is where most of the birds perch as well.
