Po ponad dwóch tygodniach wolnego nadszedł czas powrotu do pracy. Sobota była do tego idealna, bez pośpiechu mogłem przejrzeć wszystko, co mnie ominęło, gdy mnie nie było. Dużo nie było do nadrabiania, bo okres świąteczno-noworoczny jest zwykle bardzo spokojny i leniwy.
[ENG] After more than two weeks off, it was time to return to work. Saturday was perfect for this, with no rush I could review everything I had missed while I was away. There wasn't much to catch up on, as the Christmas/New Year period is usually very quiet and lazy.
W ramach przerwy na lunch wyszedłem pobiegać, w bazie warunki zimowe. Mieszkam około 8 kilometrów od bazy, a w okolicach domu śniegu już prawie nie ma. Wszystko przez to, że baza jest położona 50 metrów wyżej i tam jest zawsze inny mikroklimat. Wczoraj biegałem we mgle jak mleko, nic nie było widać dalej niż na odległość 30-40 metrów. Garmin zaproponował "LONG RUN", czyli 60 minut biegu. Nie planowałem, że pobiegnę 10 kilometrów w tym czasie, raczej nastawiałem się na spokojny bieg w równym tempie i przez pierwszą połowę dystansu tak było. Później trochę przyśpieszyłem i finalnie skończyłem dychę kilka sekund przed godziną biegu.
[ENG] As part of my lunch break I went out for a run, winter conditions at the base. I live about 8 kilometres from the base and there is hardly any snow around the house anymore. It's all because the base is 50 metres higher and there is always a different microclimate there. Yesterday I was running in a fog like milk, nothing could be seen further than a distance of 30-40 metres. The Garmin suggested a ‘LONG RUN’, or 60 minutes of running. I didn't plan to run 10 kilometres in that time, rather I set myself up for a steady run at an even pace and for the first half of the distance this was the case. Later on, I sped up a little bit and finally finished the 10-kilometre run a few seconds before the hour mark.
