Power can only given, it cannot be taken, nor can it be bought.

Power can only be delegated.

Of course we can hold all the power to ourselves but then that would be a lonely world where we do not socialise or talk with anyone at all.

Power is an interesting concept, one this society does not fully understand.

We watch people in golden thrones and accuse them of taking all the power away from us, some people even thank them for it, wish it.

Yet what we do not understand is that our Sovereignty is being slowly stripped away from us under the guise of safety.

Some of you might have seen it already; your freedoms and rights being stripped away piece by piece all because someone feels "unsafe."

This is a grift, it always has been a grift. For those that embrace it, it comes with power, control, and influence.

For those that refute it and stand against it, it comes with allegations of sexual assault and misconduct -- from a time that is unprovable, let alone understandable.

I admire these people because they have more strength than I do -- yet one always wonders at what point does it become a grift, rather than a movement.

Because people want what they are selling, and eventually they become powerful -- and those people are less willing to give it up, when they taste the riches.

And those that nod their head along and go with the flow are slowly and unknowingly having their freedoms stripped away at the expense of the few.

How?

Well, the internet happened of course.

You may remember a time when it did not matter what you said. You could go out into the middle of the street and shout loudly but few would care because no-one knew.

But then the Internet was born and information was no longer controlled. Suddenly people were figuring out that they feel the same way in the US as they do mostly all over the world -- yet in different classes and economical states.

People began to collaborate. Forces begun joining together in a way the world had never seen before -- people were beginning to realise how united we really were.

The Pinnacle of this time was the Stop Wall Street movement, or it was for me at least, when everyone banded together no matter what colour, economic background, or sex -- not for power, just for a chance at something better.

At something more.

So the tightening begun.

Those with voices that people listened to? Stripped, social outcasts -- people forgot how imperfect they were and sought to judge others to forget their own misdeeds.

Race wars began. People forgot what it meant to be joined in unison; working together for a better world.

All that we had built up in the 80's and 90's crumbled.

Then the sex wars -- men and women are now competing against each other rather than complimenting each other.

This has to stop.

The Flame has watched too long to stand by any further.
