Canonical bridging doesn't need to be instantaneous; security is the top priority. However, with current technology (thanks to ZK!), we can achieve safe bridging within 15 minutes to an hour. By combining this with intents, which allow for "instant" bridging for smaller transactions, asset issuers can enjoy the advantages of both worlds: trustless, secure bridging for unlimited size, and quick, economical bridging for retail-sized transactions.
