Oligarchy in Israel - The Treatment of Meir Kahane - from Manifesto - Part 1
The following is an extract from @tommyrobinson's latest book Manifesto. This extract is being published here with the permission of the authors.
I must point out I did not write this, find it worthwhile and important for Israelis to read this section as much as it is for anyone else. Especially now, many people are starting to talk about Meir Kahane again: I wanted to present what was published midway through last year by @tommyrobinson and his co-author, Peter McLaughlin.
This is broken into Part 1 and Part 2
Oligarchy in Israel (Part 1/2)
When people who are not part of The Oligarchy reflect on how the majority of the voters have no control, how the things that are done “in our name” are not the things we want, we get some glimmer that “someone else is in charge”. Itʼs not surprising that in the West people blame “the Jews”, since historically Jews have been connected to financial power (they were money-lenders when throughout the history of Europe Christians were often prohibited from doing this). But itʼs important to note, there were plenty of Christian bankers who were money-lenders (for example the Medici dynasty in Italy, whose bank was the most powerful bank in Europe)[1].
Among The Oligarchy in the West there will be some Jews, just as there will be some Chinese, some atheists, many capitalists, many Leftists, some Muslims, some Christians. The Oligarchy are to be found in all institutions of any size, and they form an overlapping network. Their overlapping network spans countries, religions, generations, and even to some extent social classes[2]. There are more connections between The Oligarchy in Canada and Greece and Britain and China than there are connections between the common people of Britain and The Oligarchy in Britain. Evidence that The Oligarchy are not “the Jews” can be seen in how The Oligarchy in Israel treats Jews there who are a threat to The Oligarchy. Let us examine the case of Rabbi Kahane.
Kahane was an American Jew, he completed multiple degrees, including degrees in Law and in International Relations, and then he qualified as a Rabbi[3]. In the 1960s he wrote books and articles as a Jew, rallied Jewish support for the Vietnam War, and in 1968 he founded the Jewish Defence League, (JDL) modelled on the idea of Black power and the Black Panthers[4]. Kahane wanted American Jews to stand up to anti-semitic violence from black people in America (as we know The Oligarchy ensure that racism from black people is something that is supposed to be a logically impossible fiction, as “only white people can be racist”)[5].
In 1971 Kahane moved to Israel and in the USA he was convicted of “conspiracy to manufacture explosives and received a suspended sentence of five years”[6]. Of course, neither The Britannica article nor the Wikipedia article about Kahane provides any context to Kahaneʼs conspiracy charge, which related to attacks by the JDL on the institutions of the Soviet State, because the Soviet Union refused to allow Jews to leave that bloc[7].
The JDLʼs harassment of Soviet diplomats — following them in cars, jeering at them in the streets, and cursing them in Russian — took a violent turn very quickly. On January 8, 1971, a bomb went off in the Soviet cultural building in Washington. This was the JDLʼs first official operation in the nationʼs capital and part of Kahaneʼs campaign to tie the cause of Soviet Jewry to militant anti-communism. After the bombing news agencies received anonymous calls saying, “This is a sample of things to come. Let our people go. Never again.” It was a shot across the bow. JDL spokesperson Bertram Zweibon denied the JDL had anything to do with the bombing but applauded it nonetheless — a classic JDL tactic[8].
Yet here we are decades later, and the pearl-clutching “liberals” of the USA and Europe are supporting the murderous, anti-democratic National Socialist coup in Ukraine (2014) and the subsequent years of violent ethnic cleansing of Russian speakers.
If the likes of Kahane were today going around harassing Russians in the West, his JDL would be the darlings of The Oligarchy. Contrast the actions of Kahane with those of “animal rights activists” or “The Religion of Peace”, who literally murder those they regard as the enemy. Remember: even after the events of 7th October 2023, an attack on Israel of greater scale than 9/11, the BBC steadfastly refuses to describe the genocidal rapists of Hamas as “terrorists”. The Soviet Union's official communications in 1970 acknowledged that Kahaneʼs JDL was threatening “new ʻacts of violenceʼ against Soviet institutions” in the USA[9]. Whilst the “liberal” USA and Europe, the Olympic Committee and Eurovision, currently harass and punish individual Russians for being Russian, Kahaneʼs JDL targeted institutions of the Russian State and Russian diplomats[10]. Once Kahane had moved to Israel, it appears that some JDL members did kill some Arabs and suspected National Socialists in the USA[11]. Whilst the “terrorist violence” of the JDL is what most summary accounts emphasize, often the JDL actions consisted of things like setting off stink bombs during Russian ballet[12].
In 1984 Kahane became a Member of Parliament in Israel, the first elected representative from the party he created, named “Kach”. How did “the only democracy in the Middle East”[13] respond to an elected Zionist and a Rabbi?
Kahane was boycotted across the aisles of the Knesset, and would often speak in front of an empty chamber. The Israel Broadcasting Authority similarly avoided coverage of his activities. The Central Elections Committee tried to ban Kahane from running in the 1984 elections, but this ban was overturned by the Supreme Court because there was no law to support it[14].
Is this how “parliamentary democracy” is supposed to work? As we see in Britain, when Andrew Bridgen MP addressed The House of Commons about the dangers of the mRNA “vaccine” the debating chamber was virtually empty, with no reporting in the news of his speech[15]. Remember, in The Iron Heel Jack London showed this is how The Oligarchy behave.
In 1985 Kahane was stripped of his American citizenship because he was then a Member of Parliament in Israel[16]. Kahane challenged that decision in the American courts, and in 1987 appeared to win[17]. Following that court case, in 1988 the Israeli parliament passed a law saying that MPs could only have citizenship of Israel and no other country, which meant Kahane had then to renounce his US citizenship[18]. Kahane later made an unsuccessful legal challenge of his renunciation in the US courts, claiming that the Israeli government had, effectively, forced him to choose between being an American citizen or being an Israeli politician. This might seem a pedantic detail, but will become significant below.
In 1988 Kahane returned to the USA. In 1990 at a speaking engagement in New York, he was assassinated, in what has been described as “one of the earliest examples of Islamic terrorism in the United States”[19]. Interestingly, the Muslim eventually convicted of Kahaneʼs assassination denied at first that he did it ― the gunshots were fired by “a man disguised as an Orthodox Jew”, but some years later it was reported that this Muslim had confessed to killing Kahane[20]. Indeed, a few years after the first Islamic attempt to blow up the World Trade Center (1993), Kahaneʼs JDL radio frequently broadcast a warning to the people of New York that the FBI was ignoring the evidence Police found in a New York mosque indicating Muslims were planning a second terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. The JDL were right.
What is of interest to us is Kahaneʼs persecution at the hands of The Oligarchy in the “liberal democracy” that is Israel. The year that he was assassinated, Kahane wrote a book about democracy and what he had experienced. The bookʼs title was Israel: Revolution or Referendum[21]. The chapters of his book most relevant for us are those two entitled “Democracy?” and “Referendum”. Note that the MP, writer, activist, lawyer, and student of international relations has a question mark after the word “democracy”. And note that the next chapter moves straight on to talk about referendum, that is, the need for more democracy.

While other Jewish organizations did little in response to the arrest of Soviet Jews, the JDL organized dramatic actions. Kahane and twenty others entered the Soviet trade office in Manhattan and threatened the staff with lead pipes. They disrupted concerts by Russian performers in New York, chained themselves to the wheels of a Soviet airliner at JFK airport, and destroyed property at the Soviet UN mission. JDL rallies attracted hundreds of young Jews, raising their fists and repeating after Kahane, “Two Russians for every Jew.” When a pipe bomb exploded outside the New York office of the Soviet airline Aeroflot, presumably planted by JDL associates, Yossi felt a surge of pride. “I was thrilled,” he wrote. “Nobody could dismiss us now. We were just like the anti-Vietnam movement: serious.”

You must treat some of these claims about Kahane with suspicion. For example, it is claimed that in 1992 Kahane “admitted...”, but by then Kahane had been dead for two years. Other claims are just cited as FBI “suspicions”. If one just looks through the Table of Contents for this encyclopaedia, itʼs obvious that the vast majority of the terrorists discussed in the 700 pages are Muslims or Leftists.
Focusing mainly on the treatment of Jews in the Soviet Union, who were often jailed and refused exit visas, the JDL decided that violence was necessary to draw attention to the plight of Soviet Jewry. The goal was to strain U.S.-Soviet relations, for Kahane reasoned that Moscow would need to respond to the pressure by allowing more Soviet Jews to immigrate to Israel. The JDL began a series of demonstrations against Soviet offices and personnel in 1969, including physical attacks and harassment. While the majority of JDL members participated in peaceful political demonstrations, Kahane later publicly admitted that some members “bombed the Russian mission in New York, the Russian cultural mission here [Washington] in 1970, and the Soviet trade offices.” JDL members were also implicated in two high-profile murders. Jerome Zeller was indicted for the 1972 bombing of the office of agent Sol Hurok, which killed his receptionist and injured 12 others. In 1992, Kahane admitted that he too had had a part in that attack. Two other JDL members, Robert Manning and his wife Rochelle, were indicted for the 1985 bombing death of Alex Odeh, the regional director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) in Santa Ana, California. According to a 1985 Justice Department report, the FBI also suspected Manning and several other JDL members of being involved in a yearlong series of violent incidents that year. These included the August house-bomb slaying of Tscherim Soobzokov, a suspected Nazi war criminal, in Paterson, New Jersey; the August 16 attempt to bomb the Boston offices of ADC, in which two policemen were severely injured; the September bombing at the Brentwood, Long Island, home of the alleged Nazi...
