Happy Hive Anniversary Day to Me

I've just returned home from a two week holiday with my family which was far more exciting at the start than I wanted it to me, more on that story later perhaps!

@hivebuzz tells me that today is my 5th Anniversary on Hive and wow, that's gone fast. As I became more comfortable with Hive it came to dominate my online life. I came to Hive after being deleted from Facebook upon the orders of the UK Government. I was really just collateral damage but it made me realise how important and how rare, true censorship resistance is.

I'm working on a bunch of posts about the Marina where we stayed which I'll draft and post via @travelfeed because that's the best place to write a long form reviews. I'll probably post a few highlights to Tripadvisor to help out the hotel, but I know that this is Web 3.0 here and I will own and profit from content I share on Hive.

I am a shareholder in Hive. It took a long time for me to fully grasp the concept of why Hive Power is called "vests" but of course this is because we use the language of share ownership and "vesting shares". I'm invested in the future of Hive and that just isn't the case with any other online system.

Meanwhile v4v.app continues

And while I was away, v4v.app worked flawlessly, I monitored the Lightning node and moves sats around to keep things humming but the system works.

I'll be back to work on developing the system further in the next few days and writing a bunch of posts!

💯 The Pool looks gorgeous, @brianoflondon! What a nice spot to celebrate the 5th Hive anniversary.
Enjoy your holidays, I will have to go back to work next Thursday. Weather in Germany is not anything near pool weather though these days. Raining and rather cold. But to be honest I like a nice cloudy 20 degrees better than a 36 degrees heat wave. 😅

Took me a while to also understand why it's called vest. Congratulations. It's been six years of building and contributing to the chain. Hopefully, many more years in the future

Hope you enjoy your two-week holidays with your family. I also go on 1 week holiday with my family and really enjoy it. I think this activity refreshes our mind and we work more efficiently after this.

I just had my 7th anniversary on Hive and it's only felt like about 2. In any case, I need to increase my posting here this year. Trying to make an effort but it's hard to find time. Here's to many more.

How times flies. I strongly believe your 5 years stay on hive Blockchain has been filled with memories.

I really admire your consistency because a lot will have leave the platform on several occasions but you stay for 5 years. A big congratulations on you celebrating your 5 years Hive Anniversary.
