The United States and Canada are now in a trade war.
That said, we have the technology to make international payments without any interference from the state.

People on both sides of a trade can use crypto. Private entities on both sides of a trade can use crypto.
The problem will be with governmental/political units, from nation-states down to villages. Will it be in their interest 2use crypto?
It's a good question. I think the influence of the nation state will decline as more individuals and small businesses opt to use crypto, instead of government money.
