Guys are salesmen and women are marketers.
Once in a relationship, society would say that men should stop approaching other women, but shouldn't the woman also stop marketing herself (on social media and in real life) to other men?

I don't doubt what you say, but please clarify the distinction between salesmen and maarketers. Aren't they the same thing, and aren't men and women both of those?
A marketer tries to attract customers, whereas a salesman approaches them (think door-to-door sales or car dealership, for example).
Yes, men can also market themselves, but at the end of the day it is the man who "closes a sale" with a woman.
If I understand U ✔️, if a woman is marketing herself, then the man selling himself to her has a good shot at closing the sale with her. If she isn't marketing herself, then the man has only a "Dumb and Dumber" chance of closing the sale.
The issue is that if a woman continues to market herself after committing to a relationship (by wearing revealing clothing or uploading provocative photos of herself to Instagram, etc.), there's a good chance that a higher value man will pitch her a sale, and she may even entertain him as an option for a while. Meanwhile, her boyfriend/husband has completely stopped trying to sell himself to other women, weakening his sales abilities.
So another way to view the distinction between marketing and selling is push-pull. The women, as marketers, as pulling prospects to them; and men, as sellers, are pushing their offerings to interested prospects? Do I have it right?
That's a good way to summarize it.
Interesting thoughts even if I don't like to put an entire group into a single bucket. Some men are marketers and some women are saleswomen. Especially these days!
Yes, with feminism I would say there has been an increase of women salesmen over the decades, but the act of escalation is still primarily the man's job.
