Be Postive : Think right about people

How we think about people shapes how we treat them, and usually, how they treat us back. if we have this habit of always expecting the worse from others , their is always the probability that we will see their faults and not their good.

But when we choose to believe the best in people, we often get the best from them.

Some years back , during my IT days, I worked with this guy who was quiet and kept to himself a lot. Many people in the office thought he was unfriendly, so they stayed away from working with him, i really felt for him.

So as an adventerius person ,I decided to try something different. Instead of assuming he was difficult, I started saying hi every morning and asking his opinion on small tasks. as time went on, he opened up, and I discovered thatt he was very very good at solving problems. Eventually, he became one of my closest coworkers. If I had joined the others in avoiding him, I would’ve missed out on a great working relationship.

When we think right about people, it means that we choose respect instead of judgment. It doesn’t mean that you ignoring/tolarating bad behavior, but it does mean giving people the benefit of the doubt before we make up our minds about them. As has been proved by science people act the way they do because of what they’re going through, not because they’re naturally hard or mean, some times being troubeld mentally can alter ones behaviour.

people tend to feel valued and respond better if we treat them with respect and love. A customer who feels respected will come back. A friend who feels understood will stick around. A teammate who feels trusted will work harder.

The truth is, people can sense what we think about them, even if we don’t say it out loud.

The way we talk , the tone in our voice , they way behave has a way p showing people what we think of them in our mind.

When we choose to think well of others, we naturally treat them better and they usually treat us better in return.

It’s not always easy, but every time we pick kindness and respect in our thoughts, we make the world around us a little better.
