This was a really good ribeye. If I had a choice I would rather get it from my cousin who raises cows, but the steaks usually get snatched up and I only get the burger.
Wow, that is pretty expensive. For as infrequently as I eat steak, I don't might splurging every now and then. I remember when a New York Strip used to be around $8.99 per pound. It's crazy how much things have went up.

Looks very tasty, but not for $37.4 per kg. I can buy fillet steak for $10 per kg and feel spoiled with what is available here steak wise that is.

Vacuum packed (so not butcher fresh) tenderloin here is $43 a kilo, so about 20 a pound. Vacuum packed sirloin is about $49kg/$22lb
