Cleveland Take One

This past weekend was the first of two trips that my niece and her travel softball team will be making to Cleveland this summer. The next one happens this coming weekend and @mrsbozz and I are hoping to get down there to watch her play in a game or two. We've actually never been to Cleveland, so I am really looking forward to that trip. I just hope the weather is nice and not too hot or stormy.
As my wife and I were camping this past weekend, we had to get updates on the games from either the Game Changer app or our inlaws that were traveling back and forth between Columbus and Cleveland. Apparently, the schedule got shuffled around quite a bit and while there were supposed to be games on Sunday, they packed them all into Friday and Saturday. This meant that our niece and her team played three games on Friday and just a single game on Saturday.
It wasn't the most games they have played in a single day, but three games is still a lot and I am sure they were quite tired by the end of the day.
You might remember me mentioning that they were going to be playing a lot of the same teams they had played the previous week in another tournament. I think it's kind of sad that there isn't more randomization and variety in the teams they play. The problem is, the same teams keep registering for the same tournaments and then you end up just playing the same seven teams all summer.
I don't really know how to fix that, but I wish there was a better way of doing it.
As I said, they started play on Friday afternoon with a 6 to 4 win over a Cincy Doom Premier team. They then quickly moved into another game against a Turnin2 Premier team that ended in a 2 to 2 tie. They have been getting a lot of ties lately this season and I think they need to work on that. Just a little more offense would push them over the top.
Finally, on Friday evening they had another game against a team from the Cincy Doom organization. This time it was a national team and they lost that game 8 to 5. This was the same team they lost 4 to 2 against last weekend.
On Saturday they had a single game against the Indy Dreams team they faced last weekend and tied in a 3 to 3 stalemate. Well, history repeated itself this weekend, only this time it was a 2 to 2 tie.
It already looks like the schedule for next weekend is a bit more varied, but as I said earlier, things have been changing a lot with these tournaments, so you just never know.
Meanwhile, my nephew is playing in a tournament down at the Cedar Point amusement park this whole week as well as attending training camps there. They have their first game today and I am hoping it doesn't go too badly for them. Their team suffers from a lack of coaching my hope is that eventually they get lucky or turn things around.

How far is Cleveland from you, or have you just never had a reason or inkling to visit..
It's a four hour drive from what I can tell. We've just never had a reason before now. I've heard it's a pretty cool town though. Waiting to see if our plans are going to hold now, my mother in law just went in the hospital.
I am trying to think of Cleveland Ohio and if I remember right that Drew Carey comedian guy was from there.
Oh dear, I hope your mother in law is okay and gets well soon.
Yes, that show was based around there. It sounds like are still going, so we will see.
