A Little Bit of Everything
I'm not sure I mentioned this before, but in the month of July, I get Friday's off from work. Actually, we shift to something called "four tens" which basically means instead of working eight hours a day five days a week, you work ten hours a day four days a week and then you get the fifth day off.
It's a pretty cool concept, and I honestly wish they did it year round, but I'll be honest, it kind of cuts into my HIVE time. You might think I should have more time to spend on HIVE if I have the day off, but then you have to consider the fact that I am married and you will soon realize that is hardly the case.
The fact is, between camping, yard work, and our shared social calendar, my Friday's are just as full as they would be if I was at work, sometimes more!
Thus the reason I haven't been posting on Friday's the past couple of weeks. Once we get back to our regular schedule, you will likely see me posting five days a week again. Hopefully anyway. It sounds like not everyone in the family is interested in doing the fantasy football thing this season, so I am not sure I will have posts for that. I might have to find a HIVE based league that I can get in on.
As frustrating as it has been over the years, I do enjoy writing those posts.
With the all star break wrapping up in the MLB, the Detroit Tigers are still sitting at the top of the rankings. I am hoping they can hold that position through the rest of the season and into the post season.

My nieces softball team had a pretty big loss yesterday dropping their first game of bracket play 9 to 6 or something like that. They have another game that I am watching right now and if they lose this game they go home. If they win, they keep playing again until they lose.
It looks like the weather is a little better for them today down in Florida than it has been the past couple of days. It probably helps that they are playing so early in the morning as well. Despite their loss yesterday, my niece still went 2 for 2 at bat and that is pretty awesome.
The batter before my niece just hit a home run and brought in the number 2 batter for a early 2 to 0 lead for the Lady Lasers Scarlet. Unfortunately, my niece grounded out to third, but there is still a lot of game to be played, so I don't feel too bad about that.

The four days of ten-hour work system is really great as It's truly a wonderful idea that gives you a longer weekend, but it seems that life's obligations don't leave you much time to relax 😅
Yeah, I really wish it were pretty standard across the board. We need more time to relax with our family. Of course then we fill it with other stuff!
