Another week, another savings update! This past week has been another hectic one, with lots of work happening behind the scenes on Hive. Despite the busyness, I’ve still managed to make some progress on my goals. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been happening.

My Hive Goals

  • Hive Power Target: 7500 HP
  • HBD Target: 1500 HBD

Current Status

Hive Power Progress

  • Current Hive Power: 7106 HP
  • To Go: 394 HP

This week saw a significant increase in Hive Power, moving from 6651 HP to 7106 HP. This progress is largely thanks to some necessary power-ups to keep things running smoothly.

HBD (Hive-Backed Dollars) Progress

  • Current HBD Saved: 1155 HBD
  • To Go: 345 HBD

My HBD savings have also increased slightly from 1148 HBD to 1155 HBD. It’s not a huge jump, but it’s progress, and I’m inching closer to my goal.

Weekly Progress (as of 02/09/2024)

  1. Total Hive Power:

    • Current: 7106 HP (up from 6651 HP on 26/08/2024)

  2. Delegated Hive Power:

    • Current: 4668 HP (up from 4516 HP on 26/08/2024)

  3. Liquid Hive:

    • Current: 250 Hive (down from 499 Hive on 26/08/2024)

  4. HBD (Saved):

    • Current: 1155 HBD (up from 1148 HBD on 26/08/2024)

Recent Activities

  • Bot Development & Stabilization: My focus this week has been on stabilizing the four bots I’ve been working on with @tydynrain: !INDEED, !HOPE, !WEIRD, and now !STRIDE for walkers and runners. Ensuring that these bots run smoothly has been a priority, even if it’s not as visible to the community.
  • Resource Credits & Power-Ups: Some of the bots were running low on Resource Credits (RC), so I had to delegate more RC to them. This caused my own account to run low on RC, to the point where I couldn’t even post a reply! So, I had to power up quickly to keep everything functioning. Unfortunately, I needed those tokens for other purposes, but keeping the bots running was more critical at the moment.
  • Buying the Dip & Distribution: I took advantage of another dip in the market, buying some more Hive. I distributed these across the bots, invested in second-layer income tokens like DRIP and BXT, and powered up the rest. It’s been a balancing act, but I’m pleased with the outcome.

Action Items

  1. Continue Stabilization: I’ll keep working on ensuring the bots remain stable and have enough resources to function properly.
  2. Increase Visibility: With the bots more stable, I plan to increase my activity and interaction on Hive again.
  3. Maintain Steady Progress: I’ll continue to power up, save HBD, and invest in income tokens to reach my goals.

So, Does the IDD need to be staked or balance to use? This engine tipping still a bit confusing to me. Several of the faq's and docs conflicting... It looks like BEER needs to be 24 staked to use vs. balance. Are IDD and PIZZA the same way as need to be staked amounts or balance amounts? I finally figured out how to swap some around. You seem to have gotten your head around it well. Any pointers?

Sure! ;-)
It depends on particular token. Some require being staked, such as !ALIVE, for some others, owning is sufficient, such as !INDEED. OTHERS, such as !WEED or !MEME always work, even when you don’t own a single one. But meme only replies with a meme, and weed only pays a weed on a post, not on a comment.

Tks, I'm starting to figure it out now. I found the link to the swap engine in PeakD as well and swapped me over some Beer, Pizza, and Indeed.
I saw you wrote some of those, that's actually what peaked my interest. I think you're on a good track with the Indeed theme, especially if you can later tie into some passive rewards through staking later.
I'll be playing a bit and moving some of my other unused stuff around, I've got lots of little bits earned here and there that I never knew what to do with before, and never had time to dig into.
Will definitely be tipping some of the drone posts now!

Yes !INDEED! The idea with the IDD token is to add staking, but also to tie it into the MAximum Mutual Benefit token and bot that were building, with some kind of super dividend, together with the other tokens
Maybe an idea: hand out some tokens (like 5 !WEIRD or so) to the weekly drone competition winners?

Well, I don't have any weird tokens yet except for the few you've tagged me with. So would need to have someone donate them to me or be willing to send to the winners directly. And then determine if you wanted to be named as the donator/gifter in the weekly winners post, or just add them randomly yourself each week. I'm open to however you want to do it, or I'm on discord if you want to discuss more directly or schedule time voice.

The RC was needed to keep them running, the !INDEED bot was at only 12% of its RC at a certain moment :-) So delegated some more to it so that it could get along until it builds its own HP, which I now remember I still need to work on. I had only set the mmbbot for the curation trails yet...

Nice improvement! I wonder if it's difficult to launch a new token and set up a bot like that?
I see you've created a stride token for walkers and runners. It would be cool if I could launch a cycling token with a tipping bot, but I don't know where to start 😂

Creating a token is not hard at all, you can do that via Tribaldex, and it costs 100BEE per token.
The bot, well, that’s another thing :-D Do you have any coding experience? Or Linux administrator knowledge? I have shared the code for the bot as open source on GitHub.
