As the year comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on the progress I’ve made and the milestones I’ve hit. It’s been an eventful year on Hive, filled with growth, strategic decisions, and a steady push towards my goals. While I didn’t quite hit my HBD target, I’m pleased with the overall results. Let’s dive into the numbers and recap the final week of 2024!

Hive Power Progress

• Current Hive Power: 7906 HP
• To Go: -406 HP (Surpassed by a significant margin!)

This week, I made a substantial power-up using Hive acquired from Binance airdrops and earnings. I also set aside some Hive for the upcoming HPUD (Hive Power Up Day) to start 2025 strong!

HBD (Hive-Backed Dollars) Progress

• Current HBD Saved: 1308 HBD
• To Go: 192 HBD

While I didn’t reach my HBD savings goal, I made steady progress and chose to prioritize powering up and investing in income tokens for the long-term benefits they provide.

Weekly Progress (as of 30/12/2024)

1. Total Hive Power:

   • Current: 7906 HP (up from 7733 HP on 23/12/2024)

2. Delegated Hive Power:

   • Current: 4600 HP (up slightly from 4598 HP on 23/12/2024)

3. Liquid Hive:

   • Current: 351 Hive (down from 762 Hive last week, due to significant power-ups and investments)

4. HBD (Saved):

   • Current: 1308 HBD (up from 1297 HBD on 23/12/2024)
     

Year-End Reflection

1. Strategic Investments:

   • This week, I used the second wave of Binance airdrop-cleanup funds to purchase more income tokens like BBHO, DRIP, Legion, and Income, as well as to power up significantly.
   • The decision to focus on Hive Power and Layer 2 tokens aligns with my long-term strategy to maximize growth and contributions to the Hive ecosystem.

2. HBD Goal Perspective:

   • While I missed the HBD goal, I see it as a milestone rather than an endpoint. The 15% APR from HBD savings is beneficial, but additional Hive Power and income tokens bring greater long-term value for both me and the Hive community.

3. 2024 Achievements:

   • Surpassed my Hive Power target by over 400 HP.
   • Gained a deeper understanding of Layer 2 tokens and income strategies.
   • Continued consistent posting, commenting, and engagement, contributing to the steady growth of my account.

Looking Ahead to 2025

1. New Hive Power Goal:

   • Aim for 15,000 HP by the end of 2025! That's doubling my goal of 2024 (7500 HP). It’s ambitious, but with consistent effort, I believe "it’s achievable. In 2024 I had an average increase of 93 HP/week, which means approximately 4500 HP/year. As goals are meant to be a stretch, and not an easy accomplishment, I'm pushing it to almost 7500/year!

2. Layer-2 Growth:

• Aim for 1500 DRIP (currently 527DRIP)
• Go for 10000 BBHO (currently 2678BBHO)
• Get 500 BXT (currently 192 BXT)
• Reach 500 LEO (currently 199 LEO) (as I hear it is a very valuable investment as well)

1. HBD Growth:

   • While I’ll continue saving HBD, however, my main focus will remain on strategies that maximize overall value, including Layer 2 tokens and Hive Power.

2. Bot Development:

   • Continue improving and rolling out updates for the bots I’ve been working on, ensuring they remain valuable tools for the Hive community.
