When 10°C Feels Like a Betrayal
What do you do when yesterday gave you 32°C sunshine, and today slaps you with a brisk 10°C chill? You walk anyway—because momentum doesn’t care about temperature swings.
Today was one of those in-betweeners. You know the type: shuffle the kids around, tackle some house stuff, and try to convince yourself you’ve done enough. But 8,000 steps and 6km later, I found myself alongside the canal again, under a sky that couldn’t quite decide between dramatic and peaceful.
The light was a photographer’s dream—diffused by clouds, broken up by sudden punches of sunshine. Water mirrored sky, trees flirted with symmetry, and even the occasional cyclist added life to the stillness.
No new records, no heavy sweat. Just a simple reminder: you don’t always need perfect conditions. You just need to show up.
