Friends would only stay as far as you are not more successful than them. They have no problem with you when you are not yet doing well than them, but once you eventually become more successful, you turn their enemy.

Sometimes a friend will decide to end an argument with you, it does not mean that they are not good at arguing, they only wanted to preserve the relationship and still keep you as a friend. Arguments are not meant to be won but to learn, when your friend decides to take it as a do or die affair everytime, the friendship might start having some issues. It is better sometimes to let go of argument for the sake of friendship.

But the most important thing to take note is that whether you decide to argue with a friend or not, the friendship might still end one day and you guys will move separate ways, the only people that can't leave you are your relative. A friend can stop being a friend, but a relative cannot deny their row of not being related to you.

Relatives are the ones who will be there from your birth to your death. Friends will leave and abandon you completely in life, but relatives might do so for a while, but they will still accept you back, because they cannot reject their own blood. Your relatives are the ones that will bury you when you die, not friends.

Think twice if you want to empower your friends before your relatives. It is good to support your friends, it is more better to empower your relatives because they are mostly the ones that will be there for you during your down moments.

They say "There is a friend that stick closer than a brother", but I don't think they are much. Very few friends can stick closer than your relatives, even if it is possible they are rare.

Help your friends, but empower and support your relatives more.
