Choosing Time Over Excuses
Time is like a heartbeat; it keeps ticking whether you're ready or not. Whether you act or you don't, your time is counting. Whether you keep wasting your time or choose to make something out of it, the choice is yours.
I used to be the king of procrastination, always postponing tasks every day. But something changed me. I was supposed to submit a short story for a writing contest, but I kept delaying until the deadline passed. Missing that chance hurt me so badly, and it showed me I was letting time slip through my fingers.
Learning from Missed Opportunities
That missed writing contest was a wake-up call. I might still see that procrastinator in me, but I’m working on it. I’m not set for wasting time now. Instead, I focus on managing my time for writing, errands, and ensuring I give myself enough time to develop. This shift has made me feel in control. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about recognizing that time doesn’t wait and taking steps to use it wisely.
Is 24 Hours Enough?
The question is: Is 24 hours enough? Honestly, 24 hours has always been enough. It’s about how you use it. As a copywriter and freelance writer, I’ve learned to structure my day to make it work.
Mornings are for work, afternoons for exercise, and then I spend time with my family. When I stick to my schedule, it’s a fun way of balancing my job, spending time with loved ones, and doing the things I love. It’s all about finding that balance.
What’s a Waste of Time?
So, what do I consider a waste of time? Worrying about things you cannot control is definitely a waste. Like obsessing over what others think about you—those things steal your focus. Seeking validation from others or letting them define you is a trap. Another thing I avoid is multitasking. It sounds productive, but it just drains and scatters your energy. Focusing on one task at a time is far more effective.
Planting the Seed of Time
I’ve learned that time is like a small seed. You plant it with purpose, and it grows into something beautiful over time. I’m choosing to use mine to chase dreams that bring me joy when I accomplish them. If you’re stuck in “I’ll do it later” mode, take a step today.
Cut out distractions and concentrate. Whether it’s a relationship, your work, or anything else, give it time and watch it grow into the beautiful thing you’ve always wanted.

We always give more value to something when we miss the opportunity! I had also this experience and made me think differently in the next time.
Yeah I indeed agree with you that time is like a heartbeat it keeps ticking whether you're ready or not.
And it also a currency we spend without knowing how much of it we have left due to sometimes ignorance and laziness.
