Rejecting gifts that is monetary from someone you just asked to give you money is one of the worst thing ever to do.

If the person you begged decides to show you a favour at his or her own will, you should be grateful no matter how little it is. If you had the big money you were expecting from the other person, you wouldn't have begged, but you choose to be ungrateful for the little given to you.

A beggar who feels too big to collect the little cash given to him or her, will always be too small to make big cash for his or herself. Begging is not an entitlement, it is a sign of lack, and it means you had no choice, cause if you had, you wouldn't have begged.

If as a beggar, you feel very proud begging and expecting only to be given a bigger share, what would become of you when you suddenly make huge amount of money? The pride in you would be something else.

Never put pride first in your life when you are in need of help, it is destructive. If you really want to move upward in life, take away pride while you are still at the low level of your life, learn how to appreciate the little given to you, and more will be given to you.
