SOME SOOTHING MEMORIES BEFORE I FALL ASLEEP

(Edited)

The year was 2007. I had a different camera but the same passion for visual exploration of everything nature has to offer. Since I didn't blog or anything like that back then, I used to wander across the woods, seashores, and meadows from dawn to dusk sometimes. Nowadays I always go home earlier, to prepare and publish something that I'm proud of or at least not too embarrassed to show to Hivers and also to people who know me here in my real life.

(Enlargeable)

This Wednesday, I spent most of the day outdoors, so I decided to create a relatively short post with some old photographs I never published before.
In this opening picture, you can see one of the unpaved roads that leads through the coastal area called Marlera. The scientific name of the plant that produced tons of beautiful yellow flowers is Spartium junceum. In the following photograph ...

... you can take a look at some ordinary coastal rocks of Marlera.

These are the Centaurea decipiens flowers. That's all I can say about this shot. In the following photograph ...

... you can see two flowers of the same kind that were growing very close to each other.

(Enlargeable)

This photograph was taken on a windy day. The reeds entered the scene while I was portraiting the sea.

(Enlargeable)

Here you can see two shots in which the coastal reeds are the main protagonists.

The little red spheres shown in this photograph, are the fruits of the thorny climbing plant scientifically known as Smilax aspera.

(Enlargeable)

It's late at night right now while I'm writing this post. A few more words and I'll be ready to sleep.

AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS, NEW OR OLD, ARE MY WORK - GOOD NIGHT.

The flowers are colourful, I should have been taking more pictures of nature when I go out, but I used to have a bad camera. Haha, now I will make up for it anytime I go out.

Wow! 2007 pictures, you have been in this game of nature for a long time. I admire that. The photos are nice.the fruit looks so reddish, I guess it is edible too because if was there, I would probably love to have a bite of it,lol! Don't mind me, I love tasting new things.

😃 Those fruits look inviting but are slightly poisonous. The soft young shoots of the same plant that appear in spring are tasty and edible.

Cool. 🙂 Glad you discovered a new community through this post. I like to explore communities. First of all, becouse is fun - you can come across some bizarre and funny ones, or normal ones with unexpected or weird rules. You can also find some good and cool ones that aren't popular for undefined reasons. But also, second of all - becouse I don't think that everything getting concentrated in a few communities only becouse maybe better upvotes can come there is a good thing.
That's my philosophy. After a few years here and a solid Hive Power, I can afford to follow some kind of philosophy. For the people new to Hive, I advise them to stick to the more attractive communities and do everything they can to be more visible. Contests, challenges, all that stuff. Growing here ain't easy, but once one grows the Hive Power and gets noticed, one can do things in a more relaxed way.

I totally agree with you, there are so many good communities out there but a lot of times we tend to all run down to these communities.

Every time I look at some of your publications I am always amazed with the excellent landscapes of your country, and you always know very well what to photograph to enhance the beauty of these landscapes. This is one of the things that I like to observe the most, since you can know insects, plants and other species that by geographical distribution are not present in our own countries, I will always be happy to read and see every photograph that you share @borjan, a very distant hug from Venezuela.

Thank you. 🙂 I also love to watch nature in posts from Venezuela and all around the world. In your posts, I saw so many species I didn't know existed, and I also learned quite a few interesting facts and some scientific terms I wasn't aware of. I'm especially excited about posts that show places, plants, and animals from tropical regions of the world that have such amazing biodiversity. I plan and I hope that I'll be able to visit one such place and photograph the macro stuff there a couple of years from now. 🙂Have a great day - greetings from the seaside part of Croatia.

Smilax aspera looks very good even though it is the year 2007 and you had a camera with less technology than now, I like all the photos, anyway in 2035 the camera you have and have now we could say the same, less technology , but the important thing is that the angle of the photos makes them look very good, in conclusion, it is NOT so much the camera, it is the photographer.
