ON THE ROAD IN 2006

It happened long ago, so I don't remember why I was driving around, for pleasure or for some other reason, but six old shots found at the bottom of a small yellow folder certainly can show you a bit of the scenery & atmosphere I had the opportunity to admire on the road in 2006.

Here you can take a look at the sky and the scenery along the stretch of road between my hometown and the nearest city. The evening light looked great and a white van entered the scene at the right moment to enhance the pretty but also a pretty boring horizontal composition. In the following photograph ...

... you can see some tall buildings on the outskirts of the city and the clouds above them. The city in question is Pula, the nearest city to my hometown. There is a little more (or a little less, I'm not sure) than ten kilometers between the two.

Here you can take a look at the church and the town hall in Hum, a small medieval town in the northern part of Istra. I mean, Hum is an almost abandoned little village nowadays, but it was a town once upon a time - in the period from the 11th to the 17th century.

This photograph was taken in the small loggia of the town hall building.

Here you can see one of the restored houses of Hum, surrounded by some old ruins.

AND THAT'S IT. IN THIS LAST SHOT YOU CAN SEE THE CON TRAILS ABOVE THE HOUSES IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

The first image with the bus driving thru would make for a nice tv show cover. We can call it “the traveller” lol.

They are photos from a long time ago, years ago, but they are very good, I think that what is important is what remains in your mind, the brain stores much more than technology, you take the photos, but the memories come to your mind in detail and this is what really makes every walk unforgettable

The scenery on the first pic is eye catching, the van created a nice reflect of the overall atmosphere. It must've been an enjoyable trip :)

Thank you for sharing your photos! They are beautiful, and I can see why you were inspired to take them.

The first photo is especially striking. The evening light is beautiful, and the white van adds a touch of interest to the composition. The second photo is also great. The tall buildings and clouds create a sense of scale, and the colors are beautiful.
