IN THE MIDLLE OF THE NIGHT

I woke up in the midlle of the night. And I decided to write a little travel report becouse I feel like traveling through the night while sitting in the armchair in front of the computer. In the following picture ...

Most of the cats are sleeping and I just gave a bit of cheese to the rat in the sink base cabinet.
The cat called Sivka, if you followed me for at least a few weeks here on Hive you'll probably know who Sivka is, caught a rat somewhere outside the house and brought him in the kitchen. It happened a couple of days ago. Sivka usually brings the rats she killed to eat them in the kitchen. This time, the rat was alive, and she was kind of playing with the little rodent.
I like rats almost as much as cats so I took Sivka and brought her in another room to let the rat escape.
The windows were all open and I tried to chase him or her, I mean, the rat, out of the house.
It didn't work. The little rodent has found a safe place behind the kitchen elements and is too scared to leave that area.
Since I can't chase him, I'll try to tame him, so I'm bringing rat the food in the sink base cabinet that really looks like a little house now that someone is living there.

An hour ago, the rat didn't run away to hide in the mysterious place behind the cabinet when I opened the thing to leave there a bit of cheese. I saw him staring at me from a safe distance but not too far from my hand.

We'll see how this story will end. There is always a possibility that a cat will get him, but a happy end can't be excluded yet.

This is Sivka. I mean, the photograph was taken a couple of years ago when Sivka was younger and smaller ... but yeah, this is Sivka.

And this is Bembo, the cat called Bembo. Bembo caught another rat yesterday. More often than not Bembo doesn't kill its prey. He brought the rat to the bathroom. Since there aren't good hiding places for a rat in the bathroom, I was able to catch him with a net I usually use to catch wasps or crickets that enter the house in the summer, and I brought the little rodent out in the garden.
