EVENING RAIN IN THE CITY (Yesterday in Pula)

It rained yesterday. It was a gentle rain, kind of slow but persistent. It started late in the afternoon. In the evening ...

... when I reached the city as it was rapidly getting dark, the streets were wet and shiny.

Here you can see the lights of the general hospital shining like plankton in the deep dark sea. The hospital is a massive, iconic building with many lights. From a certain distance, it looks like there's always Christmas there.

There wasn't much traffic ...

... and I saw very few people walking out in the streets or small parks scattered around the center of Pula. Pula is the name of the city in question, of course. It is the closest city to my hometown. I have only a ten-minute drive to get there.

Some parts of the city looked like liminal spaces in video games.

Here you can see the entrance to another medical institution. It's not a hospital. I don't know how to define this thing in English. When I put its Croatian name into Google Translate, it came out as " The Institute of Public Health of the Istrian County" in English.
The building looks a bit creepy in the dark ... it's like a zombie virus is rapidly spreading there behind the massive closed doors and the doom is imminent.

This photograph shows a very generic and quite uninteresting dark place on the outskirts of the city.

And that's it. That's all I can show you today. There isn't much to see, and even that little is quite dark and muddled.
