ELUSIVE COLORS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD

On the seaside outskirts of my hometown, passed three big hotels and their bungalows, there are some football fields used for training by junior teams of many football clubs from the region, from the country, and some neighboring countries as well. Very often, after doing a bit of shopping in the local supermarkets situated on the opposite edge of town, I do a little drive to the seaside promenade and those green fields before returning home.

About a week ago, when the photographs shown in today's post were taken, the mechanism that keeps the football fields green during the hot summer that makes the grass quickly dry and brown was spraying the water high in the air.

That refreshing water spray, along with the morning sun, provided all that was needed ...

... for a small, truncated rainbow to appear. I came a couple of minutes before the water sprayed closer to the road had done its job, so I didn't have much time to catch my piece of the rainbow. In the above photograph, you can see practically all the elusive colors mentioned in the title, I caught on that occasion. When the water started being sprayed on the opposite end of the football field, I couldn't see the rainbow because that area was in the shade of the pine trees that grow near the fairly tall fence. At that point, I was convinced that the post I envisioned while photographing this stuff, would be very short, and would end right after the shot you just saw, the one with the colors of the rainbow, was shown...

... but then a man entered the field, and I felt inspired to continue following the scene through the lens of my camera. The small human figure looked visually interesting there on the large green lawn and the spray of water in the background was a nice addition to the composition. That's why I'm always carrying my camera with me. You never know where you'll find yourself inspired by something that you aren't usually interested in.

Less than a minute later, a woman entered the scene. Two human figures looked even better than one in the early morning scenery.
