Yeah! There's so wisdom in this. It reminds me of a write up "don't give us fish, teach us how to catch fish". Giving is good but teaching is better. It's more of helping others to grow by showing them the way.
That's definitely a better way of imparting this timeless wisdom, it'll stick and not be easily forgotten :)

I actually have been hearing about this quote but didn't grab the future not untill today actually. Shows how man can be comfortable with its state sometimes
Giving a man fish actually tends to poverty in my own opinion, he becomes lazy and keeps expecting to be fed fish but when you teach him how to, you have prepared him to take care of himself now and in the future.
