Our 3-Year-Old Plays GTA

And she's actually pretty decent at it lol.

Are we bad parents yet?! πŸ˜‚

I can't even recall how it started. I was originally playing GTA IV -- I actually made some posts about it on here

(I was the one who found the secret πŸ†)

-- when our 3-year-old began to cuddle up beside me and started watching me play. She had never used the Switch before, she had no experience playing video games, but of course, that still didn't keep her from asking, "Can I play?..."

At first, I agreed, humorously... Sure! I'll let you play long enough for you to get frustrated with it 😏. And she did... And at that point, a child will make one of two choices: they will either never try it again, or they will commit to it.

Kiva committed to it.

She got frustrated -- and scared! πŸ˜‚ Anytime the cops came around, she would immediately scream and drop the controller! But husband and I patiently taught her how to play, what to do, and now she is a natural~ She plays GTA like it's nobody's business!

Now, granted, she IS 3-years-old, so obviously all of the mechanics are not quite there yet. She's a fantastic driver, but doesn't know how to drift. She can aim a gun, but my God can she miss! πŸ˜… She does not do missions, but she loves to drive everywhere. Her favorite things are driving to the beach to throw grenades at the beachgoers (which she needs help reaching), the mall, the club, and getting away from the police.

She has also impressed me, AND my husband, multiple times -- she has managed to find a ton of stuff we didn't even know existed in the game. She found the RC car beach race by herself, the demolition derby, a katana in a backyard -- a whole bunch of stuff!! 😱

I've been waiting for this day for awhile: the day when I could finally pass down gaming to our children πŸ₯Ή Kiva makes me so proud with her determination and intelligence. I can't wait for us to pass down the past time to her baby sister next! πŸ₯°

Hi there!

I hope this post finds you well. This might be a little out of place on a GTA post -- my son started gaming at 3 too! Haha.

I spotted you through a top comment upvote -- and your comment really spoke to me. So I came in and read your work :)

I'm curating writers for a community that I call The Flame -- it's a place where we sacrifice our feelings in return for soul.

We've just started it, it's a new idea I have for a better hive, and I'm collecting people that I connect with -- that seem to be on the same plane as me (and us)

Community is here: https://peakd.com/c/hive-170744/created

It's invite only, and to write on the Flame you need to be in our discord community here: https://discord.gg/ourbrotherhood - but by doing so it will come with many many future (and secret) perks, and respect too with flashy roles and titles!

My aim is to give writers some purpose. A gathering of sorts.

If this post speaks out to you then we'll embrace you with open arms.

If not, then good luck in your journey :)

This message could not have reached me at a better time -- I feel like Dagny Taggart πŸ˜‚ I just reached the part in Atlas Shrugged where she finds the new society of men.

Of course, I'd be happy to join πŸ˜ƒ it is a writing community, from the looks of it? I'd be happy to share some thoughts.

I am not big on Discord but I have accepted the invite on there as well. Thank you so much, I'll be working on something shortly...
