LOH Contest #246: Take It as A Sign (ENG-ESP)

I have never been a superstitious person. Ladders? I walk through them. Black cats? I've owned them. Ouija board? It's been done!

Nunca he sido supersticioso. ¿Escaleras? Camino por ellas. ¿Gatos negros? He tenido alguno. ¿Ouija? ¡Ya lo he hecho!

No, I am not superstitious... but I am religious/spiritual. What's more, I do not believe that there are coincidences in life, rather, these things should be interpreted as signs.

No, no soy supersticioso... pero soy religioso/espiritual. Es más, no creo que existan las casualidades en la vida; más bien, estas cosas deben interpretarse como señales.

The most frequent sign that I experience is what I have nicknamed The Echo. The Echo occurs when someone or something immediately repeats something that was just said. For example, my husband and I will watch TV together, I will say something to him during, and the TV will have just repeated my exact words.

La señal más frecuente que experimento es lo que he llamado El Eco. El Eco ocurre cuando alguien o algo repite inmediatamente algo que se acaba de decir. Por ejemplo, mi esposo y yo vemos la televisión juntos, le digo algo mientras la veo, y la televisión acaba de repetir mis palabras exactas.

Recently I experienced a frustrating morning. I was feeling unappreciated by my family, and I announced to my children that I "would not be treated like a slave" (a common saying amongst mothers 😩). Later, that same morning, I sat down to read my novel of 1,100 pages, and I swiftly came across this sentence on page 593.

"I do not wish to work in a world that regards me as a slave."

These are the signs that I receive.

Hace poco tuve una mañana frustrante. Sentía que mi familia no me apreciaba y les dije a mis hijos que "no me tratarían como una esclava" (un dicho común entre madres 😩). Más tarde, esa misma mañana, me senté a leer mi novela de 1100 páginas y enseguida me encontré con esta frase en la página 593:

"No quiero trabajar en un mundo que me considere una esclava."

Estas son las señales que recibo.

When the Echo happens quite frequently, in succession, one after the other -- I know that some big news will be coming my way. The first time it happened, my husband and I were falling in love. The second time, we found out that we were pregnant shortly afterward. The third time, we found our perfect family RV!

I pray that these signs are indicators that we will be on the road soon! 🙏🙏🙏

Cuando el eco ocurre con bastante frecuencia, uno tras otro, sé que pronto recibiré grandes noticias. La primera vez, mi esposo y yo nos estábamos enamorando. La segunda vez, descubrimos que estábamos embarazados poco después. ¡La tercera vez, encontramos la autocaravana familiar perfecta!
