An Everlasting Covenant
Scripture: Isaiah 55:3
NIV:Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.
There’s a lot God can and seeks to achieve with us, but this only becomes possible with our corporation and yieldedness.
Oh, how God desires that we give him our ears so that he may speak the deepest secrets of his heart to us. He also seeks that we surrender our minds so that he may explain the greatest mysteries of the kingdom to us in comprehensible terms. Every time and every moment, God seeks for a man to enter a covenant with him for a territory. Oh, you can be that man.
One prayer I pray is that it never be said that God sought for a man in my territory and found none while I yet live. What purpose then is my existence? Let this hunger drive us into a deep covenant of intimacy and partnership with God until his eternal counsel becomes visible in our times and days.
God's sure mercies are still available for grabs. Yes, he is not looking for perfection; he wants people with David’s kind of heart to make a wonder out of him.
Can you and I choose to be that vessel that, regardless of our state, will come to God as we are to let his mercies speak for us? He is still waiting to align with his desires. Lord, please, we are available to serve your purposes in this generation. Use us, Lord.
