A mother unconditional love

Growing up, my mom was the example of love and discipline. She brought my sister and me up with a firm hand, not because she didn't love us, but because she wanted us to grow into responsible and capable individuals. Most times, her methods were tough, and we would cry ourselves to sleep after a good scolding or spanking. But looking back, we realize that it was all worth it.

Mom's approach to parenting was simple and she wanted us to learn from our mistakes and become better versions of ourselves. She believed that a little bit of pain and discomfort was a small price to pay for the lessons we would learn. Am glad we learned to be accountable for our actions, to respect authority, and to take responsibilities for our mistakes.

But amidst all the discipline, mom's love for us was unconditional. She would buy us sweet or snacks after we have cried ourselves out😂, and she will end up saying 'I don't like beating you children but you kids do force me to" and remind us that she was only trying to prepare us for the future. She taught us to be kind and compassionate towards others. Mom showed us that love doesn't mean being soft or permissive, but being strong and courageous enough to do what's best for your children, even when it's hard.

Today, my sister and I are grateful for the way mom brought us up. We may not have appreciated it then, but we do now. We are confident, independent, and resilient individuals, and it's all thanks to mom's unconditional love and guidance. We know that she will always be there to support us, no matter what, and that's the greatest gift she could have given us.
