It's Hard To Return
I never thought I'd say so soon, It's hard to return. Better said would be... It's even harder to return!
I refer, of course, to getting back to writing, to blogging, to Hive. In the more than seven years that I've been writing here, only once I took a three-month break when I really thought I was going to quit, but I was helped to come back.
Now unexpectedly the many short vacations have prompted more breaks for writing.
The sea is my favorite place...
I didn't betray it on this, it was probably, the last trip this year. While it may look like a mountainous area, this is just the view from the back of the hotel.
It was, once again, a hotel further away from the sea, which has two advantages: it's cheaper and quieter. Moreover, the great distance encourages longer walks.
A 2 km walk always brings me to my favorite street that leads down to the sea.
This street, which now I realize I don't know what it's called, a short sloping street towards the sea that connects the old town to the tourist part, with hotels and restaurants.
In a courtyard on this street, there is a parrot that I see every year, for many years, I don't even know how many.
I've never seen people in the yard, only this parrot!
Very close, on a balcony, a Husky dog that seems to look out to sea from afar.
Short but full street of visual attractions designed to distract attention from the sea.
The small terrace nearby has been our favorite for many years.
After so many years it was time to part. With regret, I found that something had changed, not for the better, with the restaurant. Probably the last meal here.
The sea begins to show, timidly, through the branches of the trees.
The street leads to a park which means the shortest route to the new town, the part at sea level, the place occupied by tourists.
Still in the old part of the city, here is the house of the mayor, the famous mayor who took care of the city in the interwar period, when Queen Maria of Romania spent her summers at the nearby castle.
The sea is getting closer...
The sea is even closer...
The old town has been left behind and the new, modern part appears in contrast with the stone buildings of the last century.
The sea is just a few steps...
The landscape is changing radically. Another world is the world of vacationers and tourists. On one side the promenade is flanked by terraces and small souvenir shops.
On the other side, the master is the sea—the Black Sea at Balchik, Bulgaria.
The evening she seemed to come faster than usual. It was the first half day of this vacation.
As I said at the beginning... it's hard to get back. I mean the writing. It is hard and I tried here to make it easier, I chose to write a kind of photo-reportage of how I got from the hotel to the sea. Photos are the greatest help. The whole vacation is saved, in chronological order, in the camera's memory. I have shown a few selected images from the first 50 photos and will try to do the same with the rest.
Congratulations, your post has been added to WorldMapPin! 🎉
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
Thank you!
Hey @bluemoon you are welcome.
Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘
I get what you say. Even if one has just a few days of a break it is not easy to start writing a post again. 🤷🏻♀️ We have to feel good, have inspiration, have time and of course, an established routine. Now when the vacations are over and autumn comes, you will see how writing will become again a need to express yourself. Maybe you will even paint a rock 😉
You understand very well and I think you have experienced this state, or maybe not. I hope and want to get back into the routine I've had for so long. I have a few more problems to solve and I'll hit the rocks. I think about it a lot. Anyway, I am humbled by my 5-year-old granddaughter who has already painted her first stone. Thanks for the encouragement and nice comment!
Your little granddaughter already made her first painted stone? That is cute 😇
Yes, of course I experience(d) this state, I think we all do feel that way from time to time. ;)
She painted the rock in kindergarten and it turned out well. I'll put it in my first rock post.
It's a more mellow Hive. I have only seen pictures and videos of Bulgaria. It looks like such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing once in a .... while.
That's right, it's a mellow period, @mineopoly, I agree with you. The Bulgarian coast is a beautiful place that I like very much and that explains why I post so much about it.
I hear what you're saying. For me I love being out in nature and traveling around and sharing my experiences with others but sometimes life gets busy. And sometimes I don't even feel like taking pictures when I'm out because I want to enjoy every moment.
True, life is sometimes very busy, I often feel that.
It is always difficult to get back into the normal swing of things after a break, but I am sure that you will cope. A set posting routine is a good thing, but there are so many distractions, that one has to try and avoid. Rest assured that you will be back to your best soon.

Thanks a lot! I too hope to get back to old habits and the joy of blogging. I have the desire, I just need to free myself from some obligations...
Well, just take it easy my friend, as I am sure that you will get all things sorted out.

Beautiful place to walk around, I love the landscapes and the streets, ups and downs. The restaurant is rustic and beautiful. Very nice tour!😃
I think you know it's my favorite place, neither the best nor the most beautiful but I feel very comfortable here.
It's beautiful to have a place like this, enjoy it always!
I will, thank you!
I know exactly what you mean...but you have a nice writing and writing likes you too, therefore I think you will manage to overcome the boredom!
I see you also call the sea as a female! Greeks too!.. Some times I think our countries and people are much alike! I see this even in the pictures you post...
Have a nice rest of day!
There are certainly similarities between our countries and there is a mutual friendship that makes me very happy. That's right, we perceive the sea as a woman and I think it looks similar.
