Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Support Articles (The New Ambassador Program)
Hello! This post is for Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Support Articles. For this week, we have the theme of The New Ambassador Program, which is a revamped referral program of Splinterlands. It is a way to reward players that brings many other people to Splinterlands, by giving certain rewards both to the new players and old players.
Tiers
There are 2 Tiers in the Ambassador Status: Silver and Gold. You can check what Status you are in by clinking on Setting, and 'Ambassador Status'.
Silver Tier
Silver Tier has the requirement of referring at least 1 friend. It has the following rewards:
- You and referred friend each earn 500 credits after purchasing a Spellbook.
- You earn 5% of your friends' EoS Glint rewards.
This is already a good reward for the first tier in my opinion. Not only you get 500 Credits, but you get constant rewards when your friend keep playing. In my opinion, this would ensure that the Ambassadors would try to make the referred players to have a good start in ways such as giving cards, which would be better for the Splinterlands community.
Gold Tier
Gold tier has the requirement of 10 referrals who have at least $100 in purchases, inprimary, secondary, or rental markets. Although it is harder to achieve this rank, it has better benefits as following:
- Silver Tier benefits
- 5% bonus(in DEC) for all packs your friends purchase.
- 1% of your friends’ transactions on peer-to-peer markets.
These are much better benefits than Silver Tier. However, to achieve this, your friends should be really dedicated into Splinterlands. These kind of motivation could be better for Splinterlands.
How to refer
If you want to take part in this new program, you can do it by following these simple steps:
1: Log in to your account and click on "Ambassador Status". Here, you'll find your referral link.
2: You can now copy your referral link, and send it to your friends. When someone clicks on the link, it would directly send them to Splinterlands register page, marked as your referral. You can also track the amount of referrals in this page.
Leaderboard
You can also see how much referrals did the other players do by clicking on 'Leaderboard'. In this page, you can see the amount of referrals, how much DEC / Credits did they got, and many others.
Conclusion
I think this is a really good way to introduce new players in this game. Splinterlands may be hard to navigate if you are a new player, and having other players that are much more experienced to guide will be better. With this program, I believe there are much more incentive to help newer players, as you can get benefits by helping new players that used your referral link.
Thanks!
