Making Raspberry Liqueur

Making Raspberry Liqueur!

What started as a tiny little 1 gallon Raspberry Start, os now, bigger than a small car! I pick enough Raspberries each year, to make a couple dozen bottles of Raspberry Liqueur, a couple dozen jars of Raspberry Jam, and, feed a fresh pint a day, to my family, during peak of summer! This video shows you how I take the Raspberries from Berry to A Sweet Tasty Liqueur.

Please let me know in the comments, do you make jellies, jams, or Liqueur? Let me know, below! My gardens are in Zone 7a/7b.

Watch below, to see how I went from picking berries, to a sweet tasting dessert liqueur, and sauce for cooking!

Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.

And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

Love the cute little bottles 🙂 Our berry bushes aren't that productive yet so we eat whatever we get fresh of the bushes. So rookie question here... are you flavoring the liqueur with the berries or do the berries also ferment?

AT 80 PROOF, the berries are flavoring the Vodka. I made wine decades ago. I can say, it takes some time for fermentation, the berries don't have time in the 6 weeks or so.

I love the bottles, they look potable, and I admire that you grow your own food yourself, at least it will help you know exactly what goes inside of you.
Never made jellies, jams, or Liqueur before.

I use it for pouring on Ice Cream, or to put as a sauce on some meats cooking!
Some people use it for making cocktails for drinking.

Hey there!

This is amazing, and it was a good idea to add the video, as you can see and follow the steps.
I think it's important to find creative ways of preparing/preserving fruits instead of allowing them to go to waste. This liqueur looks like the perfect thing for the festive season:)
Happy Holidays and best wishes for 2024.
