Am I crazy?
It's NOVEMBER, and I am starting seeds already? That's NUTS, right? Not really, not for me. I grow my salad greens, lettuces, arugula, baby spinach, and herbs all winter long, indoors. SO, while I have a couple of lettuce plants outside, still... it's time to get the next batch growing INDOORS

Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.

Fresh stuff indoors baby! My brother did that and it was cool, he had some decent lights and they were growing nicely!
indoor gardening has a lot of merits, including optimizing space, but also reduce or eliminate crop eating pests, or birds and animals attacking the fruits
Your indoor garden looks wonderful. It’s so inspiring to see how passionate and consistent you are. Your setup looks great and about taking control of our health and food supply is powerful.
I'm happy to finally (and just in time) get the outdoor garden put to bed. And you are putting me to shame with the indoor salad bar 🤦 we did have a couple nice batches from spinach this fall from the outdoor garden.
to be fair, all I did is take advantage of my early spring seed starting setup! I have it, so might as well use it.

STOPStarting seeds in November isn’t crazy at all, just smart! Growing your greens indoors all winter is such an inspiring way to stay healthy and sustainable.
I do like being able to simply walk down into my basement and pick fresh greens
I need to do something like that. I would love to have a green-house all year round.
