Happy Hump Day, amazing people!
Another errand day is here. Since we are running out of food, I was thinking about what to make for lunch. So after taking my daughter to school earlier in the morning, I decided to go straight to the market to see what I could find. All things considered, I wound up purchasing vegetables (no photograph; I ran out of time). I swear, neither my daughter nor I can go a day without it. In Tagalog, we say, "Gulay is life". After that, I went to 7-Eleven to pay my internet bill and buy some toiletries. After that, I passed a fruit stand on my way back home, which I find very appealing with its rainbow-colored walls. Because I simply do not have the opportunity, I have not attempted to enter. Perhaps soon.
In front of that colorful kiosk is the centennial house of the Abad and Cabildo families. It is a piece of history and pride here in my town, located in the heart of San Juan, La Union. I believe this was built during the Japanese regime sometime in the early 1900s. It is so beautiful, but unfortunately, I don't have photos of the interiors. All these years, it has not lost its authenticity and character. And oh, there was also a cafe close to it, which used to be a train station in the past. Its ruins stand out among other cafes because of their vintage touch.
I passed through the public cemetery as I moved on. I'm used to it, but the fact that it's on a national highway makes it a little creepy. I was carrying a lot of stuff, so I hailed a public trike on my way. We passed through a bypass road instead of the national highway, which is closer to our house. We passed by a gas station close to the cemetery as the trike moved. The Hulk is guarding the area, if you noticed lol. Spider-Man, in my opinion, is the other one. The tricycle was moving too quickly, and I could not take good shots. Additionally, there is a nearby nursery that offers a variety of fruit trees, flowering plants, and landscaping supplies. During the pandemic, I used to go here to buy houseplants. They pretty much have everything you need when it comes to landscaping and gardening.
As we got closer, we passed through a brand-new "bulaluhan," or soup/cafeteria. That might work for me. I love bulalo, particularly on rainy days. I counted up to 10 as the trike turned to the right, and that is where I live. I'm home.
How was your day? Good I hope!
