Happy new week, amazing people!
Remember when I spilled the beans in my last blog about our little adventure to that hidden gem of a farm resort and restaurant in Legleg, San Juan, La Union? Yep, the one just a quick 15-minute trike ride away from our cozy abode. I raved about the sunflower fields, the lush vegetable garden, and those adorable scarecrows that could give the cutest emojis a run for their money. But hold onto your hats, because today we're diving deeper into this slice of paradise. This ain't your run-of-the-mill farm resort. It's a magical spot that whispers sweet nothings to your soul, urging you to kick back, unwind, and forget about all the chaos and craziness of everyday life. The sprawling greenery as far as the eye can see, the symphony of nature serenading your ears, and everything in between you thought only existed in dreams. This place is where you come to hit the reset button, to reconnect with your inner zen, and to simply bask in the beauty of the world around you.
So, let's get ready to walk around on this journey with me. Let's dive in and let the tranquility of this haven wash over us like a warm hug on a chilly day. Let's find that inner peace that's been eluding us and let's soak in every moment of serenity that this place has to offer. Ready, set, let's go!
As you travel towards the farm resort, the road transforms into a scenic route surrounded by lush rice fields, vibrant vegetable gardens, and adorable farm animals. And guess what? You won't find many cars zooming past you on this road; it's a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Now, let's talk about the road itself. It's paved with cement, but here's the catch: it's as narrow as a tightrope walker's path! As you travel along, the darkness envelops you, and the silence is almost palpable. There are no street lights here, just you and the mysterious charm of the surroundings. I remember a time when I lived in my mom's house, nestled in a rural area much like this farm resort. It was a simple life, yet a tad more modern than the rustic charm of this place. Living in a farming community has its challenges, though. Money can run dry between rice seasons. It's a tough job to ensure there's food on the table, but the locals are resilient and make it work!
The Farm Resort:
When we finally arrived at Hiraya, it felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem. It was just us, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Honestly, if it weren't for the resort sign, I would've thought we were lost in paradise! As we made our way to the entrance, we were welcomes by an enchanting sight and a whimsical arc made of wires and wood, adorned with delicate crawling vines. It was like stepping into a fairy-tale world. I kid you not! The path ahead was lined with stone pavements, twinkling bulb lights, and the most stunning ornamental plants you could imagine. And let me tell you about the cottages we passed by. They were a mix of nipa huts, bamboo, and wood, each offering a cozy retreat. You could take your pick between a room with a fan or air conditioning—talk about luxury in the midst of nature. We couldn't resist the temptation of the dining room and bar, our stomachs growling with hunger. The wooden chairs and tables exuded such a laid-back vibe that it was impossible not to feel relaxed. We quickly placed our food orders and decided to explore further. But wait, here comes the best part—the hammocks! Hammocks made of straw nets sway gently in the breeze, inviting us to kick back and unwind. It was the perfect spot to soak up the beauty of our surroundings and just let go of all worries. We spent a few minutes sitting in the hammocks while waiting for our lunch to be delivered to one of the kubos outdoors.
Right after our lunch, we headed to the sunflower fields and vegetable gardens, as I posted in my previous blog. We took photos and even played with the resort's stray cat, Precious. I can't wait to go back and experience it all over again. Trust me, it's a place you wouldn't want to miss!
Thank you for stopping by. Until our next travel adventure, my friends!

Dear beloved Hive creator,
Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
