Sweet Yohanna is Turning 5: Celebrating It with Family at Home and Making Good Memories to Remember
Hola My dear mommies, daddies, parents, and @motherhood family.
Before I get started, let me ask you this?
Were you able to celebrate your kid's birthday every year with birthday decors, foods, gifts and more?

Let me share with you how I prepared for my daughter's fifth birthday. But before that let me tell you first about her previous birthdays.
I remember when she's turning one, I really prepared something on her birthday like we cook some foods, busy crafting for birthday backdrop, and we invited some family friends to have dinner with us.

When she's 2, the only thing I did was bought some balloons and took photos of her.

When she's three, I bought balloons with safari theme and took photos of her as a remembrance of her 3rd birthday. And this time, we decided to have a feeding to the kids in the neighborhood so my husband and me cooked some spaghetti and popcorn, they we just buy juice from the store.

When she's four, I only bought a cake and printed a barbie cake topper because, it's her wish to have a barbie cake, and unfortunately, she was very sick that time, but I made sure that the cake she wanted to have is present.

And this year, since she's turning five, she reminded me couple of months before her birthday about what she wanted to have on her fifth birthday and of course, I wanted to fulfill that.
We used to eat out whenever we celebrate birthdays in our fave restaurant because whenever someone is celebrating a birthday, the crew will play the birthday song and sing for the celebrant.
This time, I chose to celebrate it at home. I just ordered food from our fave restaurant, bought a small cake with velvet flavor and I printed a mermaid topper.

I promised her that I will give her a Mermaid cake. And I also had a DIY mermaid costume.

Actually my mother gave this orange sleeveless and we just have a look at it this time because it looks like it will fit on our mermaid theme.
I don't have something like a mermaid tail costume so what I did, I found a baby's blanket and tried it on her. I just tied it on her waist like a towel, and let her seat to make it like a mermaid tail.

The blanket's design can be like a mermaid tail.
And since I wanted to be like a complete mermaid theme, so I looked out online about what will be the backdrop for her birthday and found it online, I edited it with her name on it and her age as well, it's almost perfect!
But wait, I also printed it to make a tarpauline paper.
Does it look good? What do you think. My daughter chose these balloons and we decorated it along with the tarpauline paper.

I am thankful that I was able to have a DIY photoshoot for my daughter. Though its hard because you really have to convince her on how to pose, and the right angle to make it nice.

I heard someone says that birthdays should be celebrated because of the gift of life that was entrusted to us. A celebration of thanksgiving for the year of sustaining us, and for overcoming the challenges in life that we encountered.
Celebrate your birthdays and enjoy it with your family and friends.

Every birthday doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. What matters most is the love, effort and memories you create for your child. Your daughter is blessed to have parents who celebrate her with so much heart.
