PHILIPPINES: A QUICK VISIT IN DALTON PASS

Hello, fellow Filipinos.

Hello Hivers.

I am from Mindanao, and my husband is from Nueva Ecija. He has Ilokano blood who speaks Tagalog.
We got married here in my place. The day after our wedding, we flew to Manila to travel Nueva Ecija. It was my very first time to visit Nueva Ecija. From Manila, it took us around 5 or 6 hours to reach Carranglan, a municipality of Nueva Ecija.

One day, my husband invited me to have a road trip going to Dalton Pass.

I've seen that place on Facebook because his family friends went there and they really enjoyed the scenery.

We ride a motorcycle going there. The road made me dizzy. It has a zigzag like road and mountain pass that joins Nueva Ecija and Nueva Vizcaya.
On the road, there were different kinds of transportation like buses, trucks with vegetables, wingvans, trucks carrying sacks of rice and more. It's kinda exciting because most of what you see are mountains, wilds and the blue, blue sky. We can see rivers with a lot of big rocks.

To get to the shrine, you have to climb up and we did it with the motorcycle. It's a bit scary because it is like riding a rollercoaster that goes up! Take a deep breath and relax!

So my husband drove it slowly going up and I really have to hang on for my dear life and not to look back.

Look at us! We don't want to miss this opportunity to visit this place and enjoy the nature's view. `

When we were already at the top, we were able to realize the zigzag road and found out the road we took to get there.

We didn't stay long because we arrived there late in the afternoon and it's getting dark. We have to travel that long. And we were not sure if the road had street lights.

That short visit means a lot to us.
And how I wish, we can visit the place one more time.
That's why if we are given a chance to stay in that place for a very short time, grab it. It might not happen again.

Do you live near Dalton Pass? Why don't you come and experience the scenery?
