Greetings Dear Readers;
.
Hope you are well and enjoying fine weather today.
How about this Timeless Truth/ Principle;... 'Self-discipline is a part of capacity for life.'
Some forms of self-discipline may be; Studying, attending class, as a part of learning, exercise/ keeping one's self fit, daily consistent practice of certain skills, etc.....to bring any or all of these activities to routine makes all the difference in having a grounded life versus a superficial life.
When we bring self-discipline to the table, when we have experienced it for ourselves in some field...(for the sake of illustration....we have practiced the piano and we have reached a level of accomplishment)...there will come that moment when we understand that any success, any accomplishment, is a result of dedicated, consistent practice...hard work in other words...not magic. One might call that understanding...'Being grounded in reality'. That grounding is a part of capacity for life.
Let's give this Timeless Truth a think....shall we.
Wishing you and yours all the best....God's best!
-For God sent not his Son (Jesus Christ) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3.17
-Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Acts 16.31
It is faith alone in Christ alone for eternal life.

I had to read the truth a couple times to try and understand what capacity of life is. Discipline? Been thinking a lot about that lately as I navigate business and teenagers.
I love a truth I learned early that “Success isn’t about doing the things you like to do. It is liking the things you have to do.” That, to me, is discipline.
The people who do the hard things get the rewards and that has something to do with capacity for life. Habits make or break a person, especially when they are practicing anything that it takes time to be good at. Enjoying being bad at things til you become good at them is discipline too I suppose.
Great food for thought once again!
Agreed! And liking the things you have to do makes all things rosier, like a bluejay piece of art.
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
Appreciate your thought-full reply.
You wrote...
"I love a truth I learned early that “Success isn’t about doing the things you like to do. It is liking the things you have to do.” That, to me, is discipline."
So true...I would add or say it this way....'You enjoy whatever you do because you have capacity.'. You have a grounding in reality....not luck, not magic. That capacity for life comes from a number of things...self discipline, authority orientation, ie Traffic signals etc./respect for chain of command. No matter how much one gives a child....if they have these things...they will not become Spoiled.
I had to smile when you said this...."Enjoying being bad at things til you become good at them is discipline too I suppose." Indeed. ^__^
To be good at anything...we need the three D's....desire, determination, dedication. I had an Art Prof who started each class lecture with this principle. Anyone can see...you have it in spades in your Beer Production...do you not.
Thank you for dropping by.
Kind Regards, Bleujay
Well put!
As I worry about the youth, as parents inevitably do, I am thinking the desire is a little lax based upon the competing desire for convenience and peace of mind. Hopefully lessons learned create the knowledge that convenience is earned (or occasionally gifted) and happiness is a decision. Dedication and determination is fueled by desire for sure!
I recently learned this. I have been retired for a good long time now, and my days would slip by with little getting done. About a year ago, I got interested in homeopathy, and enrolled in an academy. I thought "how hard can it be?" Well, it turned out to have been very difficult! At first, I did a bit here and a bit there, which got me quite behind in my studies, and woefully behind on housework and other tasks. It all got better once I started forcing myself to get up every morning to put a couple hours of study in, move onto my chores, then more studying in the late afternoon. Soon, all my chores and errands started getting done, my house was clean, and I was up to date on my studies. Being disciplined gave me more energy and, curiously, more quality down time.
Greetings @owasco ,
What a lovely response to the Principle....such a superb example. Your decision...though difficult...brought a sweet benefit. How cool is that?
That is the beauty of principles....they assist in clarifying life's conundrums.
Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Constant dedication to an activity makes us very disciplined and success will surely come from there, since hard work allows us to achieve it.
Happy to hear . your . thoughts. Cheers, Bleujay
Blessed weekend to you friend
I really like the reminder that self-discipline plays a big role in how we handle life. It's easy to overlook, but when we stick to good habits and stay consistent, that’s when real growth happens. The photos and painting are absolutely beautiful.
Greetings @toluwanispecial ,
How very kind of you to drop by with your lovely comment.
So true...reminders are necessary as there is always something to distract us from staying on track...as it were. ^__^
Kindest Regards, Bleujay
NB Thank you for your complimentary words with regard to the 'Icing'.
Nice how many different kinds of wonderful roses you have, @bluejay!
It must be relaxing to sit in the garden and observe or paint all these beautiful flowers.
This time there is not much to add to the principle: it's so obviously right...
Greetings @gen-quimba ,
Lovely to hear from you. ^__^
Happy to hear your kind thoughts....Roses do play quite the role in Bleujay's Garden and Art...just you said.
Thank you for the smiles....I am delighted to hear the principle was obvious to you...as I can well imagine....you are no stranger to Self discipline and it's benefits.
Kindest Regards,
Bleujay

Thank you @tahirmuneer ...very kind of you!
I love your rose painting!
I am self disciplined enough to clock into work on time and do a good job, but as I've gotten older, I resist being too disciplined on my own time. Sometimes that is ok, other times, not so much. :)
Greetings Jacey,
You are too kind...so appreciate your generous words with regard to the painting.
Yes..so true...as you said..."Sometimes that is ok, other times, not so much."...It is a fine balance.
It is a bit complicated if one is an artist at least for me. Although the other day, I did hear an artist say;
...'I tell myself...Just show up'...
referring to her studio and routine...and you know how much we have to do in the 'Studio' right?
For myself unless I am painting/drawing, I do not think I am getting anything done...when there is loads we do and think when we are not working on an artwork....that contribute to producing Artwork. ^__^
Interesting....
Thank you for dropping by for a cuppa. ^__^
Kindest Regards, Bleujay
without self-discipline we fall in the laziness and that leads as you say to surpeficial life... self-discipline can lead to great achievements, something to be proud of, being it work ,study or sport for example
enjoy the weekend
Greetings @davideownzall ,
A good summary that lines up with the Principle.
Thank you for your kind wishes.
Kind Regards,

Life is a matter of self-discipline, continue my friend. We must have a daily and constant learning to improve ourselves and try to be happier every day with our skills that we have acquired thanks to that self-discipline. Greetings to you and the all family My friend
Greetings @hjrrodriguez ,
A good summary of the Principle.
Kind Regards to you and your familia,

I came for the lovely photography, stayed for the principle (you cannot go wrong agreeing with the fruit of the Spirit!), and was extra blessed by the painting!

Life without Self-discipline is generally a slow walk to a life of regret.
Just adding a little Self-discipline daily can put us in a 90 degree turn longer term and help us not look back a decade later she say how did I get here 👀.
Greetings @geneeverett ,
What a lovely comment....so true!
Thank you for dropping by.
Kind Regards to you and your good lady,

That artwork is superb and creatively made, accomplishment is a matter of dedication, and when it's not put, result won't come out like it supposed to, and for a person that understand and follow it, will achieve whatsoever they want. Happy Sunday.
Greetings @repayme4568 ,
Thank you for your kind comment and compliment.
I am not so sure they will achieve 'whatsoever they want' but they will achieve more than would have without self discipline to be sure.
Regards, Bleujay

Thank you @lee1938 very much!
Those who do not care about discipline and do not live according to their routine, then success in their life becomes impossible. First, one should think about things and then live life in an orderly manner. All the flowers are looking much more beautiful.
I wish I knew where and how to buy self-discipline, but it's probably too late lol, that's something you can get from God, like my kids, or not get, like in my case @bleujay :)
But I don't hesitate :)
Have a blessed day!
Yes, about those lovely little roses, I thought they would look great as a print on calico, but they look great on your watercolor, too!
!INDEED !HOPE !BEER
That is a nice collection of flowers, do you go collect them near by to make art with them?
I also liked your painting. Reminds me of a lily.
