What a Principle we have here....

'Once you have no illusions about self, you are better off.'

This seems a principle for some contemplation about whether we do have illusions, fantasies, or misconceptions with regard to self that keep us from living life realistically or in real time.

This is not to say we should not have goals, aspirations, ambitions, etc.

Let's give this timeless truth a think....shall we.

Hmm, this is deep. Illusion is just a thief that may confuse one's. It is not real anyway, so one just have to be very careful and face their fear head-on. You really capture it, and the pictures are amazing.

It is a harsh truth as well and really one can only answer it for themselves and hopefully give it a think.

It is ever so easy to become distracted from what is reality, what is doable versus the carrots offered and on display in artificial simulation be it film, media, online etc.

I came for the painting, was charmed by the waterside, and I affirm the principle -- the hardest thing is to look into that glass darkly and see all that there is to see for now, but also the most necessary.

What kinds of flowers did you paint this time? They look wonderful, like a whole colorful field of flowers.

The water in your photos looks crystal clear, and the stones are very beautiful!

I agree that your principle of today doesn't mean not to have goals, aspirations, ambitions but it maybe helps you to better estimate your own skills and possibilities to be able to target realistic aims.

The painting above is representing a bouquet of tulips, carnations, delphiniums and some other flowers and buds....a loose representation. ^__^

Beautiful shot by the seaside... We have a few beaches and seaside in Nigeria, but I don't know anyone with the red pebbles and the yellow stones.

I think over-aspiraation or ambition is what I call the self-illusion, although I may be wrong... Although I like to have plans for tomorrow, 6 months time or in one year time, but I try not to exceed that, and try as much as possible to allow God do that for me.

Thanks for the beautiful verse of the Bible, it's one of my best, and reminds me that we're saved only through the Grace of God
