Greetings Dear Readers,

.
.
Hope you are well.

Let's have a look at this Principle...'Humility is the basis for teachability and objectivity.'

In order to better understand this Timeless Truth, perhaps we should take a look at the antonym of the word 'Humility'....that of the word 'Arrogance' which could be looked at as 'Error-gance'...misspelled, yet true. Wrong thinking/fantasy that does not align with reality, or common sense.

Examples of 'Error-gance' abound....whether it is someone's emotionally presented Agenda of the Day or something else....the approach on our part should be to familiarise ourselves with both sides of the issue objectively and then make an informed and rational decision. Setting emotion aside and letting thought be our guide is a hallmark of humility.

Let's give this principle a think...shall we.

.
.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Kind Regards,

.
Bleujay

.
.

Principles are timeless truths as relevant today as they were yesterday and will be tomorrow.

All for our ponderance.

Without a doubt, humility is very important in our lives and even more so when we are not having the best time, that is, we should never feel above or below people in any situation, we should be the same.

It's easy to tell from the artwork of rose that it is red if it wasn't actually black and white. Beautiful. I like the picture shots as well, and that beautiful tumbler.

Welcome back, it's been a long time.

Greetings @josediccus ,

Lovely to hear from you.

You are correct...it is as red as the others and made a surprisingly strong B&W photograph. Thank you for your kind words regarding the photographs and artwork.

I was sure fellows would recognise the tumbler! ^__^

Thank you for dropping by with your kind gifts....appreciate it!

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

You're welcome. It truly made a strong B/W photography and how you could tell it was meant to be read from the painting is extraordinary.

Beautiful photo of such a lovely red rose.
Yup. Humility is very important for learning. It’s becoming harder to find youngsters or successful young professionals with humility. New technologies like AI could perhaps humble humans one day and could control human behaviors too.
Could AI be humble? I guess not as it isn’t self aware.

Greetings @kaminchan ,

So true....

Since mankind has volition and is held responsible for his decisions...even if he lets the bot control his behaviour...interesting times!

You are correct, AI does is not self aware....not Rational beings...no Volition.

Appreciate you dropping by with such a lovely comment.

Kind Regards,

Humility is a word that has different ways of being understood, not only is the one who lacks economic means humble, let's start by analyzing that wealth, like many things in life, is relative, so I, compared to Trump, am more than a beggar, humility for me is listening to others, putting myself in their shoes before making a judgment, trying to respect others, in conclusion trying to understand others before judging them.

The red roses on your base @bleujay are so beautiful. It feels so romantic to have those flowers in the house. I like the close-up picture of those red roses. 😊

Humility for me is to respect all the people that surround us. No matter what her or his status is in our society, no matter what race he or she has, and no matter what differences we have, showing respect is humility. 😊

Have a blessed day @bleujay!
Interesting thought, to be honest, I didn't connect these qualities of a person together, and didn't consider it as the basis of learning, because, sometimes, genius people are absolutely immodest :)
Apparently this requires a deeper analysis, although, in some cases... I don't rule out that the connection can be traced.
You masterfully compose still lifes!

Greetings @barski ,

Very kind of you to drop by....Thank you for your kind words regarding the 'Icing'.

For the genius; it could be perhaps a matter of what they want to learn versus not becoming teachable for what they do not want to learn or think they already know...idk.

Teachable would be a matter of realising that there is always something to learn, even when we think we know it all. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

NB Praying for you and your family.
Thank you for the reblog and tokens.

Yes, probably the word "genius" sounds too lol, it could be said about a person who has achieved a lot with his work, a master of his craft, a quick learner, but I know such people, and some of them are completely devoid of such a quality as modesty, on the contrary, they are more like the one after whom the flower Narcissus is named :) Therefore, it is quite difficult for me to link modesty and learning ability as links in one chain. !INDEED !HOPE !BEER

Hi, I have seen you unvoted me as witness. Any particular reason for that?

Greetings @stayoutoftherz ,

Thank you for your kind query. The reason for my change of mind regarding a vote toward your witness in particular was that you gave a downvote to a user who posted with regard to the German Christ-mas Markets...even though you were kind enough to explain why you downvoted in the comments.

Bleujay has some thoughts regarding downvotes....

they are not good for the e'spirit d'corp of Hive in general...unless of course the post is criminal in nature......

they not only bring down the user's rewards but also the ones who used their HP to vote for the post.....

and in this case...the post was a reminder for many including Bleujay of the times they had celebrated Christ's birth by attending the German Christ-mas markets....so a natural exuberance emerged to see the memorable scenes...which was then tempered by the sock of Coal in the form of a downvote.

It has been a policy of mine not to vote for any witness who downvotes because they think the post is overvalued by Hivers...I think people/posters should reap the rewards of their various contributions to the Hive Community....Free enterprise...Winners/Losers.

This is not to say I will not change my mind later with regard to my witness vote for you...because I did appreciate learning we had shared values on some topics and always applaud finding common sense in Hive World.

Kind Regards, Bleujay

I see.
Well, I see it also as a responsibility of users with a higher stake to take care that the reward pool is fairly distributed. Often the very same authors make it into the trending posts as they are well connected and whales typically don´t take the time to scout for good content outside of their "usual suspects". In that case a relatively average post with many, but rather low-quality pics got >100$ in upvotes.
I explained it also to the author and she understood it.
