Greetings Dear Reader,

.

Hope you are well.

Shall we give this Principle a look....'You cannot build stability on emotion.'

We know emotion can be rather like shifting sands....not dependable really, we would not build a structure on sand...would we....probably not.

Emotion has its place...and hopefully we have thinking in place as well, that governs our emotion...giving us stability, keeping us level-headed, when any given situation presents itself that sparks our emotion.

Recognition of that trigger is key....the shift from rational thought to emotion. Why...because once we learn to recognise when we have shifted....the sooner we will put the stabilizing factor in place....that of objectivity.

Let's give this Principle a think.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

Principles are timeless truths as relevant today as they were yesterday and will be tomorrow.

'Dahlia Portrait'

.

Information with regard to the 'Icing' (Photography) of the Principle.

Photography and editing by Bleujay using an iPad Pro. The Prisma App. was used for the last photograph to turn it into a sketch of sorts.

The flowers are Dahlias...and each of them are the species 'Cafe Au'Lait...yet each are different colours...one receives a bit more shade..causing it to be a bit more pink, another a little older so that it has opened and turned a little creamier..The Cafe Au'Lait colour is what one is after...but it is seemingly not dependable...not stable. ^__^

The Dahlias are enjoying their first year in Bleujay's cutting garden and have exceeded any and all expectations. They are still blooming as they are want to do until the temperatures are a bit chilly....should be too cool for them soon. Their blooming season is from mid-Summer to mid-Autumn.

I crave for a lot of stability in my life at the moment, but it's not forthcoming, at this point, I know I can only trust in God for that.

It is true...for believers...our stability is found in God and His Word..His Promises.

It is not at all reliable to create and build on emotions; We must control our mood and always have a cool head.

Greetings @hjrrodriguez ,

So true...And of course we wish we could always have a cool head...however in case we lose it, perhaps we will recognise it sooner now with this gentle reminder. ^__^

Kind Regards to you and the familia,

Another very thought provoking post @bleujay. Far too many people in this world allow themselves to be governed entirely by emotions, then the thinking comes in later. Whereas quite often it should be the other way round.

Yes, of course emotions can be very powerful and they help to define us as a specie. But emotions must be controlled and that is precisely why we have a mind for that purpose.

The last photo in your post is gorgeous @bleujay, such huge looking flowers with lovely colours.

Greetings @peaceandmoney,

How very kind of you to drop by with this lovely comment.

Yes...indeed....it's true...so many do....You know the advert...'Let Go of my Ego'....I think it has a deeper meaning now....or could be said..Don't touch my Emo.... ^__^

That being said....a gentle reminder to ...yes...Let's make use of our minds.

Thank you for the kind words with regards to that particular photograph...I thought about having it for the lead, however Bleujay really likes to save the best for those who open the post.

Enjoyed the cuppa!

Ha ha! I like your style, yes it is said you should always save the best until last and you didn't disappoint.

I am glad you have mentioned ego because it is such a problem for far too many people in this world. I truly believe there should be a thing as ego classes where people are can go and get the education they really need!

Lovely photos with lovely and practical thoughts. But my emotions are just too fast to pin down. Only when I slow down my action could I begin to discern the difference and make a shift!

Good morning @bleujay!
As always, I see a stunning bouquet of flowers, the name of which, theorgin, I learned only today, I thought it was a type of flower with a similar name - dahlia.

Their color gives some kind of calm, autumnal feeling, and coffee with milk is something that should be drunk slowly, therefore, the essence of the post is very subtly tied to the flower arrangement you created.

There is really no need to rush, a wise man does not stand anywhere, he is looking for a solid foundation for his house in the corners of which there will be stone and not sand.

Blessed day to you!

... the sketch is already magnificent! :) !BEER

I focus on those moments when we are so angry that we DO NOT reflect, that is why it is good what they say, breathe 3 times and wait to make decisions and even to speak.
Letting ourselves be carried away by emotions is very common, I am not going to say the usual excuse, ( we are human ) there are simply days when you can bear everything, but there are others when you cannot bear anything, that is when we must breathe 3 times.
I wish you a happy night

Dear Bleujay,

This principle should be kept in the back of our minds all the time. It's so easy to be governed by emotion unless we cautiously choose to stay level-headed in every situation. I've been working on it since I realized many years ago that letting emotions take over doesn't bring me anywhere. It's not always easy, but even a little progress is a progress, and this is what matters.

Beautiful flower and illustrations.

Have a lovely day,

Kind regards,
Martina

Self awareness and non reaction... A daily practice that's hard for this girl! I am rather emotion driven but I'm pretty good at objectivity too.
