Greetings Dear Readers;

.
Hope you are well.
.
Today's Timeless Truth, Principle: ... 'Man is never satisfied.'

'Man' as in mankind....includes the ladies. ^__^

This principle always gives me pause.

The very thought that a person is really never quite satisfied....that there is the desire for something more. Perhaps we have forgotten we are human after all...we are not perfect, yet we seek perfection ...a thought which opens the door ...wide open...to many thoughts.

The Bible has this to say regarding this human dilemma...'Be content with such things as you have.' Hebrews 13.5 How does one accomplish this 'Contentment'? ... through a relationship with God the Father, who is perfect. Quoting Jesus Christ...'I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.' John 14.6 It is faith alone in Christ alone for eternal life.

Let's give this Principle a think.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

.
.
Kind Regards,

Bleujay

Principles are timeless truths, proverbs, and maxims that assist in giving us guidelines by which to navigate through life.

.

All for our ponderence.

Yup! Human beings couldn’t be easily satisfied. It might be possible to be satisfied for a little while, then the urge to get more satisfaction in life wakes up again!

That's true, you set an achievement like earn X money and when you reach it you want more and more, you buy a big car then you want a bigger one and so on, humans are greedy... Just faith can stop that

Satisfied is a funny word sometimes. Most times I feel very content with what I have persay, but I always need something else to look forward to as well to keep me motivated and mind active. It's not always wanting a "thing" next though, but deciding on the next thing to do or the next curiosity to learn about.

It is always good to stop and ponder things, to make sure you are as close to a good path as you can be.

Wise and wisdom-full like always my friend!

The strawberries where you live look so huge also! I wish we had those sizes over here, everything seems so tiny 😂

Kind regards, take care!

Greetings @dubble ,

Appreciate your dropping by with your kind words and tokens!

These strawberries are truly a one off...which is why I was compelled to take photos of them...hopefully you will have them soon.

Did you know the green leafy part of the crown of the Strawberry is called a 'ruffle'...well now you know. ^__^

This is a photo of one of the strawberry plants in Bleujay's greenhouse. If you get the chance to grow them...you should.

Wow they are wonderful! How long have you grown Strawberries for?

I did not know about the ruffle thank you! I feel that is some information that will be buried in my brain forever now that I can bring up in any Strawberry conversation! 😄

Are the ruffles spikey or furry and soft? they look like nettles somewhat! Having a greenhouse must be wonderful, I would definitely love to own one, one day and start growing many different kinds of things!

Take care my friend, happy growing! Best regards

Hiya @dubble ,

Let me see if I can answer your queries.....

...about two years..

...the 'Ruffle' is on the strawberry itself...on it's crown. They are soft.

...the leaves of the plant...are a bit leathery...not like nettle leaves though...hehe...

....Happy to hear you were pleased to hear about the 'Ruffle'...I thought the same thing when first I learned it. ^__^ The ones I grow do not have much of a ruffle...however these at the Green Grocer did indeed....those pictured in the post.

The Principle came to mind when I started photographing them...and saying to myself...'Where's the cream?'...you see 'Man is never satisfied.' We seek perfection, so somewhere there must be perfection. The absolute is that only God is perfect...So let's seek Him.

Take Care.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

NB Thank you for the token!

All very interesting my friend! It's definitely a fun hobby to have, must be so enjoyable when you've grown a full batch yourself and so fresh!

It's true we are never satisfied, always wanting and expecting more! Need to be more happy with what we have, grateful to be here :)

This is the second time I'm seeing a close up shot of a strawberry. The pictorial details are amazing. The green leaves around, just added a beautiful extra layer of colors of the image. Truly astonishing.

Have a blessed day @bleujay!
When it comes to strawberries, it's hard to follow the Word and settle for less, because there's no such thing as "too much" :)
The texture of the strawberries goes incredibly well with the heavy gilded tablecloth (like curtains) with geometric texture...red always goes well with gold, rubies won't let me lie :)
I see that you've already picked out the palette for working with watercolors.

Oh my word! Those strawberries look absolutely delicious, if I saw them online I would be compelled to order a punnet! Talk about making a man hungry. That is excellent photography, you have a decent camera there.

As for your timeless truth well are we ever truly satisfied? One can find comfort in religion for sure, it may even provide the answer to your principle in the post. But many poor souls roam this planet devoid of meaning, I do not exclude myself from that group of people.

I suppose for me the interpretation of satisfaction comes back to happiness, are we ever happy in our lives? I would like to think most of us are, not sure if its true though. So what constitutes happiness? I could spend hours answering this question. Do we always want more? Perhaps some of us certainly do and will never be happy with what we have, but maybe there is good reason to want more.

Others have everything a man could want for and then some, but are not happy and will never be happy. They are the tormented souls that need some form of self enriching epiphany.

Greetings @peaceandmoney ,

Thank you for your kind reply...happy to hear you enjoyed the Strawberry photographs. They were a one off that had to be photographed.

Let me say that ...Christianity is not a religion...Religion is man by man's efforts seeking the approbation of God through his own works. Christianity on the other hand is God seeking man through the work of His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. All Grace.

Christianity has given Bleujay meaning, purpose and definition to life...to living.

If one is comfortable with dying..then one will be comfortable with living.

How can anyone be comfortable with Dying unless they have absolute confidence in what the future beyond Living on this earth holds. God promises eternal life for those who believe on His Son. His Son paid the price, He redeemed us from the slave market of sin by dying as a substitute for our sins on the Cross. He reconciled us to God...made a way for us to have a relationship with God. Yes..I believe in Jesus Christ for eternal life...and so can you...it is that simple.

In his latest post @ jaki01 wrote a post regarding...such a search for meaning in life and asked the reader to respond...I replied as have others...you may find it interesting.

Yes I quite agree with your reply. Happiness is elusive. Happiness for Bleujay is contentment ...happiness can be found in momentary stimulation...Contentment is peace of mind no matter which way the wind blows.

Thank you for opportunity to dialogue over the Principle...always a pleasure.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

I think this principla applies particular to women, you can never satisfy a woman even till death, and strange as it is this has been going on for generations

Greetings @fredaig ,

Yes...and God has a solution for this insatiable state.

His plan for mankind....Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ who died as a substitute for our sin that we might have eternal life.

'And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.'
‭‭John‬ ‭6.35

I absolutely agree with you, "Man is never satisfied"..... I must accept that I myself want something more and more....

Buddhism also teaches us the same, "Be content with such things as you have", which I tried very hard to follow sometimes.

Your photos are great with the bright and refreshing red strawberries. Your Watercolor photo is fascinating. Well done!
