Present Perfect Continuous Tense - LLSM VI

Hello, hive friends, we go again today.
For today's lesson, we will be looking at Present Perfect Continuous Tense.

See you in class😊.

✅Present Perfect Continuous Tense

The present perfect continuous tense is used in a sentence to show an action that started in the recent past and is continuing in the present.

It is also known as the present perfect progressive tense as the action progresses from the past to the present.

Just like the present perfect tense, the present perfect continuous tense makes use of the helping verbs (has/have).

The difference is that it has an extra helping verb ( been) before the main verb which is usually in its -ing form.

Please, gently follow this teaching. It's very important.

Also note that in the present perfect tense, it is the past participle of the main verb that is used, whereas in the present perfect continuous tense, it is the present participle (-ing) that is used.

✅Let's go straight to the formula and examples so that you will get a clearer picture of what I mean.

Making Sentences With the Present Perfect Continuous Tense

FORMULA :

Subject + has/have + been + present participle (verb+ing) + the rest of the sentence.

✅Examples:
