Biggest Game of The Season and I won't See It
I am trying to think of the last Spurs game I actually missed watching over the last few years but I didn't miss many but this will change this weekend when Spurs play Arsenal and I will be on Thunder Mountain in Disneyland Paris. There was a delay in this holiday due to an illness in the family but all is well now and we managed to rebook during the North London Derby. I don't mind in a way as life cannot always revolve around Tottenham so I think I will not bother checking the score until it is over. However Destiny Udogie who I have been critical of over the last few games is out for the season and so is Pedro Porro it looks like. Two vital cogs in the wheel for Ange are out so it looks like a Ben Davis and Emerson Royal cameo for these two positions unless Ange thinks up of something creative with Dragusin and 3 at the back which is unlikely.
I don't mind Ben Davies. He has always done a good job when he steps up. It is the other side I am worried about. Emerson Royal is a good defender until he goes forward. His aerial ability has been missed at Tottenham this season especially defending corners but on the downside Ange's system goes somewhat out the window. Now Tottenham have had a 15 day break between games and Arsenal have basically thrown away the Champions League and League in the mean time so they really have to win on Saturday. Tottenham are still reeling from their hammering against Newcastle.
I should really be nervous about this match as Spurs have not played well since United away in January and Angeball looks like a distant memory. I say the aussie cannot wait until the season end so he can get some of his players in and some players that don't suit his system out the door. I think there will be a few shocks leaving as well. When asked about Oliver Skipp in his last press conference , the manager did not say all the nice things to deny any outgoings. He just said some players will need to go and some will come in/ It was more a damming indictment on Skipp if anything. Saturdays match will be a tough one but I think Tottenham will bring the physical approach to the game that may knock Arsenal off their game. Arsenal have not been the same team over the last couple of weeks either after the Villa defeat and the Eric Dier masterclass in the Champions League. There is pressure on Arteta to deliver now seeing that he has been there 5 years and spent the most money in the Premiership on transfers in this time. An FA cup is not enough after spending that amount of money. Also with all these "Big Name " players , do you think the likes of Saka should leave to get more trophies. I think he may need to. When they cannot offload the worst Bayern team in 20 years over two legs then they are not that great. Bringing on Eddie Nketiah to save their Champions League dream cannot go unnoticed. It is also safe to say that Jesus is a flop and they need a proper striker like Ivan Toney. But enough about Woolwich.
Spurs are pretty much guaranteed a Europa League place as United are terrible are hardly going to catch us. I am more concerned about Newcastle to be honest. Now Villa are in 4th spot but Villa are inconsistent. The honeymoon period is over for Ange but if he got 4th place then this would be considered an amazing year for the new Tottenham coach. One he could build on. The debate now is whether we should be happy NOT to get Champions League football but I think this is a load of shite myself. Why not have a go at beating the big boys in the biggest competition than heading to the arse end of nowhere on a Thursday night.
Our run in however is the hardest one amongst the top 6 . We have Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea , Man City Burnley, and Sheffield United. Now we are capable of beating anyone but current form is terrible so we also could get hammered 4- nil which happened us last week. Now some Spurs fans are calling for Ange's head after a 4th or 5th place finish without the best number 9 in the world. That is just ridiculous. But there will be pressure on Ange early next season if things start slow and I don't want this because I believe Ange is our perfect manager and he needs to get his players in to show us what he is capable of. People are saying he has never managed a big club and the elite of the elite will figure him out. He has no plan B yah dee yahdee yah. But I don't take this argument for one second. Does Pep have a Plan B. Does Klopp have a Plan B. I take you back to Celtic versus Madrid last year and Ange's Celtic played Madrid off the park. It was unbelievable.
Forecasting this result is impossible. Arsenal fans think all they have to do is turn up. I reckon we will hammer them or they will hammer us. It is as simple as that. You can imagine me in Paris France checking the final result. A bead of sweat trickling down my forehead. ButI will be in Disneyland so I am not going to let it affect my day. I may be in double Disneyland if it goes my way as Arsenal will affectively be done with their title charge. With FPP on the horizon for them , this is it now. They won't get another chance for a long time. It is now or never.
Hehe, Richarlison has seized to be the super striker you called him? Ok is it injuries? You have also suspected the past injury is slowing Maddison down.
A so-called inconsistent team is 4th in the league right now.🙂 I think the EPL brings with it, a lot of fun analysis.
Goodmorning brou, best regards
At the moment I'm hoping and praying any and every team slows arsenal down.
The 2 nil loss against villa and loss against Bayern threw them off their game.
Hopefully Chelsea draws and you guys deliver the killing blow.
Ok I am supposed to believe that the victory over Wolves(at Wolves' home), is Arsenal playing far below their game. Well if you are playing dismally and you beat a team in their own backyard – same backyard that has conquered Man City and Chelsea this season– then that's a huge complement.
The next match after Wolves was this one against Chelsea today. Well, maybe you will come up with something like, Chelsea had players injured and Cole Palmer was absent.
My bro, check in Hive, there is something called THIS IS ARSENAL.
Cheers.
You are better off not watching anyway because it could be fugly. If you had waited 2 weeks I would have been in Paris at the same time.
We could go on space mountain together buddy haha
