Know this before you hire an Ad expert
If you have the intention of hiring an Ad expert, I want you to pay attention to this. Because you're a novice in ads, many of them will try to convince you that they are good with screenshots of past campaigns they have managed. Listen to this: Messages are not results. Link clicks are not results. Landing page views are not results. Did it actually convert? For instance, you can run a Facebook ad and get 64 messages, and nobody will buy what you intend to sell.
So, when you intend to hire an ad expert, possibly ask to speak with the client they managed the ad for. That way, you can hear from the person to know if the screenshot of 64 messages the ad expert sent to you actually brought in the desired outcome for the business owner. Let's assume that you want to sell 86 cups of Garri, and you hire an ad expert to run a Facebook ad for you. If at the end of the day you get a lot of messages but nobody buys from you, your ad failed woefully. Why? Because your aim for the ad isn't to get people to send you mere messages that can't translate to sales.
If the aim is for them to fill a form and they land on the website without filling the form, your ad didn't fulfill the objective you set out to achieve. Meanwhile, you must also understand that many people may not buy immediately from you because of many barriers. But with consistent follow-up, you can eventually increase the number of people that will buy from you. Ad experts are not magicians, even though ads are a money-doubler. Don't hire an ad expert for a 2k service fee, spend 5K, and expect to make 1,000,000000000000000. It happens, but most likely a miracle. Hope this helps someone out there.
