Being conscious of the fake social media space manipulations
A non victim playing a victim
Just as I have reminded myself, I just want to remind you that the prank videos you watch are organized; they are never real. Do not allow them to mess with your mindset. Yes, 95% of the time, those pranks you watch on social media are organized in conjunction with the person being pranked. While I was in Port Harcourt recently, I looked down from the window of the place I stayed. Lo and behold, three humans—three males and one female—drove down. The girl took a step backward, and one of the guys brought out his phone to film her while the other accosted her. The girl was being accused of infidelity. The idea was for the boy and girl to fake their infidelity while the prankster settled them. First video gone!
The director wasn't satisfied with the girl's expression in the video. Canceled! Apparently, the girl's acting skills were below expectations. "Let's start again. This time, I want you to cry in the video and accept that you slept with Matthew. Then kneel down and beg him. You need to beg him well well. He went ahead and give her some of the narratives all over again as he holds his trousers. These people were directly below my eyeballs. After they were done with the second set, there was jubilation. I waved at them and asked for their Facebook handle so I can follow them. They mentioned.
Lo and behold, comments from well-meaning Nigerians, thinking and bashing each other for staged pranks. Clearly, a great percentage of people do not know that pranks are staged, no matter how emotional the person can be. Oh, I forgot to let you know that the girl in the video, the director of the video, promised to 'add something for her' because she did well in the second shot. Brethren, do not allow pranksters and social media people to mess with your psyche. Guide your heart. A younger version of me long time ago would have believed whatever prank video that is out there with such intentions but one way or the other even before this very experience I have refused myself from believing prank videos out there in the social media space.
As I began to grow knowledge towards their actions and see through why some things are just not right. It is funny now that I can see through the lies roaming around a video with just few minutes of watching it and not to waist my precious time to get to the very end of it. This actually will surprise you if I tell you as well that most scandals out there put out by some celebrities is planned by themselves and has nothing to do with outsiders or the other person pinpointed to have been blackmailing them. But mind you, I believe that there are still some cases where it is really true and people try to blackmail other people but in the world that we live now it is mostly been planned by the non victims that claim to be victims for popularity purpose on whatever peoples that it might serve to them. So be careful out there.
If at this point you believe what you see on social media, then you do yourself o.
I'm telling you. I for once don't believe their manipulations haha
