1. Identifying a problem people are willing to solve:

People have more than one problem, and some of them have become a part of their lives while others are threats to their continued existence. Those problems that have become a part of their existence, although problems, most times, they are not willing to solve them. They are simply problems that do not cause them enough discomfort to make them forego other alternatives for them. These right here is what I refer to as secondary problems.

Don't try to solve those problems. You'll struggle to make sales because before the person considers buying a solution to solve that problem, it means that they don't have a pressing problem anymore. But there's another category of problems. This category is what those in the eCommerce sector call 'hot products.'The problem is hot enough to cause immediate discomfort to the person experiencing it. For example, if you begin to experience a toothache, painful enough that you struggle to chew meat, you'll find a solution to it immediately.

P.S: The problem you identify must not be a peculiar problem. That is, it must be a problem that's widespread - a problem that has enough people facing it. The idea is that you want to sell to as many people as possible. But of course, you can also solve the problem for a few people and cash out big from it.

2. Finding a solution to the problem:

Can you solve the identified problem? Now, by solving the problem, you put yourself in a perpetual position to continually make sales. But solving the problem doesn't mean that you have to become a record breaker. You can simply partner with another who has the solution and resell the solution to those with the problem. That way, you don't bother yourself creating a solution from scratch. If you can build the product from scratch yourself, that's okay, but if you desire to go through the route of taking an existing product, rebranding it, and reselling it, you can consider the following models:

  1. Affiliate products
  2. Private Labeling
  3. Dropshipping
  4. PLR products.
  5. Package the solution and sell it to those people
