What's New With Hive Mid March Update

Each week we go over what's new on the hive blockchain, price checks and more. I might expand this report more here soon with a weekly update with other projects I'm working on and with along with nodes so stay tuned for that!

First like always let's check out the price action of hive over the last week and see how things went.

Week over week not the best in terms of hive price. We went from a solid $0.30 all the way down to a $0.24 token today and it looks like the bleeding is going to continue. I almost speculate now we could see hive soon under $0.20 once again as the markets continue to do bad all over and hive's inflation and expenses are running crazy still.

Even if we pull out a full month we had a high of just $0.35 and current prices put us back close to three months when hive nose dived at late December. Even if we pull back a full year hive is still down from it's $0.50 - $0.45 range this time a year ago. I want that to sink in for a moment because that was the height of the bear market and Hive was actully worth more at that time.

For me the bullish case for Hive is to go above $0.50 and hold it for at least a good month.

News wise there really isn't anything coming out on hive again. There's legit no real updates and hasn't been for some time which is kind of part of the issue with hive at the moment. There's no growth happening or any substantial building. I'm very unsure on why games like ZING still have not released along with a few others.

I guess one positive thing for me though is hitting that 300,000 hive milestone has just gotten easier as the price has fallen.

Goals

$HIVE

Goal: 300,000 Current: 127,197

Week over week this was one of our much lower ones primarily from author rewards having dropped to about half of what they have been. This resulted in a total of 342 hive powered up or roughly 48 hive per day. A bit shy of that 100 hive a day goal but we are getting there and have plans in action now.

$HBD

Goal: 25,000 Current: 1,961

With hive's price being down that also means less rewards in HBD which is going to slow this whole process down a bit and I'll need to accumulate HBD outside of rewards as well.

I've also started to track where we are on the rewards front with this to better get an idea in terms of weekly growth and what actions need to happen to push for that 25k. Now the ultimate goal would be 255,000 HBD which would push us a little over 100 HBD per day which is one of the milestones I have here at some point. 100HBD is pure passive income is pretty wild when you think about it.

Splinterlands

Splinterlands continues to grow rather rapidly now. Now that we have over 1 million SPS staked and lands continue to come online we are growing rather quickly.

In order to try to speed this up even more I've decided to try to rent out most of my cards. This ends up costing me $4.5 a month from peakmonsters. Now it's been about over a year since I last rented out my cards and OOF! I used to be able to rent these cards for roughly 5,000 DEC a day and at the height of things $50 a day when DEC prices where crazy high as well. Today... $1 if I'm lucky and it all gets rented out. Things like this really show you the overall decline that has happened in the sector.

Other Goals

Here's a subset of others goals I've been working on in the background but feel like I can bring them to light now.

1 Million Woo tokens staked or in liquidity pools (Complete)
1 Million Colony tokens staked or in liquidity pools
1 Million GLX tokens staked or in liquidity pools
1 Million ZING tokens staked or in liquidity pools

This 1 million mark gives me a good base line I think for each of these games if they ever amount to anything. For the most part I'll most likely blast through all of these by the end of this month.
